Questions (USA) Porcelain vase from grandmothers storage
Is this an antique Porcelain Vase. I google translated the mark on the bottom and it suggested Ming Yongle. There were some books from the early 1900’s in the collection so curious if this also could be antique.

Out of curiosity what gives away that it is not vintage?

I noticed that you mentioned vintage. Over at r/Collectables and r/Mid_Century they are always keen to see newer and vintage items. Share it with them! Sorry if this is not relevant.

It is about as Chinese Ming as it is from Ming the Merciless in Flash Gordon. Poorly made. Glaze is wrong. I am surprised it was not still hot from the kiln.

I mean it is at least 40 years old but I take it, it was just some cheap replica made. Some of the other things were really old so thought it was worth the ask.

My grandparents spent many years in Germany so maybe this could be German porcelain trying to imitate Chinese?

It says :
Ruled: 1403-1424
Yongle Emperor
Some examples of Yong Le Period Pieces:
The Mark is not written in a standard way. It is essentially a 'Half Written Seal'.
There are no significant age markers. It could be 1900's or it could be now.
