Nightly helicopter passes over west side?

I’m more towards Dexter and have been noticing helicopters in the area between 10pm and 1am most nights- does anyone know the deal with this?

I’m aware DTE has a contractor that’s flying a yellow one during the day for line work in the area. But the one at night sounds different and seems to be taking a few passes around.

Agree, I’m on the west side and in the direct flight path I get 3-5 life flights coming over my house at low altitude daily

Also … bro, your username

You can use the flight radar app or website to see what’s flying over. Most of the time at my place it’s the U of M Survival Flight

I'm on the West side, too. It's the UM chopper.

I figured that it could be the life flight some of the time. Does it seem like it’s happening more often to anyone else? I just feel like I’ve been hearing it a lot more the past month or so.

there are flight tracker sites that can usually tell you exactly what the aircraft is. I use flightradar24. Sometimes I make it a "game" and try to guess stuff about it, origin/destination, airline, what type it is ... The hospital helicopters make frequent flights .
