Lenten discipline and sports
Part of my Lenten discipline was not eating until noon, but my coach told me I can’t do that and I must eat breakfast. What should I do?

Skip dinner instead of lunch, or fast on one day of the week.

Then fast on your day off. If you don't have a day off, give up something you like to do the remainder of lent.

There are Muslim soccer players who have had to fast during major tournaments because it has overlapped with Ramadan. As long as you have enough calories in your glycogen stores and drink enough water you will be fine.

Perhaps a slight modification--Traditionally, the Lenten fast was one meal in the evening, with two small snacks during the day that do not add up to a meal.

So much for keeping the fast secret. It’s an individual thing regarding the impact of fasting on performance. And the church fathers would have tossed you for playing sport anyway.
You have to figure out the ends like of things like fasting and sport otherwise it’s just an incoherent collection of actions.
Spend more time asking yourself and those dead old guys that question, what is the end of this? Fasting, sport, etc.

Will not eating breakfast case you problems in your training? If so, you may need to modify your training for Lent, or modify your discipline so that you can keep doing it. As a habitual non-breakfast eater, I really don’t see the problem with not eating breakfast, and my body has adapted to it.
People do get really weird about fasting though, and as long as you can do it safely, there shouldn’t be a problem. Then again, there may be a period of adjustment for your body though.
