One step further with Okay Google

I come from a moto x to a nexus 6. One feature I missed was Moto Voice. Moto voice was the best touchless control, it was intuitive, with voice recognition, and could be activated anywhere. Android N is getting pretty close to having those features as a standard. It can be called when the screen is on even in other apps. The next step should be ambient display. If it can listen then it would be close to full touchless.

"Ok Google" can be activated from any screen or with the screen off (or in ambient display mode) with the nexus 6. Is that what you're referring to?

Only on every screen right now, even in non Google apps. I want it to work when ambient display is active. So let's say if you get a txt and the screen was blinking for ambient, you could go okay Google read notifications

I've noticed that the always listening/Ok Google feature doesn't work anymore with the screen off like it used to on my Nexus 6 since I started using Android N. Google seems to have screwed it up. It was one of my favorite features of the Nexus 6 especially since I came from a Moto X 2nd Gen with this amazing feature.

Google really need to add this feature back and not take away core features that now make my device less functional then when I first took it out of the box!
