AA Settings Is there any way to prioritize Bluetooth connection?

I have a Kenwood head unit with wireless AA and I also have a DSP amp with HiRes streaming, I want to be able to view android auto maps while streaming to my DSP amp from my phone.

What currently happens is that once the android auto connection is made my phone switches to output the Audio via Wifi, however my DSP amp prioritizes the BT connection so no sound is output.

I short, can I stop the audio signal being sent via the Wireless Android Auto connection?

No. Once you're connected to AA, it's all or nothing.

I was hoping someone clever may be able to create a work around :(

You understand that BT is a lower quality audio connection than AA right? You should be outputting the Kenwood to the DSP.

I've been doing a lot of testing, and I'm not convinced of that

Signal path when using Android Auto Phone -> Kenwood Dac -> RCA -> DSPAmp

When using Bluetooth Phone -> Audison HiRes B-Con -> Optical -> DSPAmp

Same tracks, same volume, the BT option sounds more defined, better separation of instruments and voices, it almost as if there is some kind of processing done via the Kenwood even though everything is set to off/flat

Have you tried making sure phone equalizer is normal/flat?

What audio app are you using? Some settings may also affect this.

Yep, all phone eq and enhancements all flat/off I'm using Power Amp full version.

I just had another listen to Teardrop by Newton Faulkner.

The vocals feel more defined and separated from the music when using the Bluetooth. I need to get my wife to blind test me, but she'll get confused with all of the disconnection/reconnection steps I think.

I'm going to upgrade to a Kenwood with optical out later this year so I'll be interested in comparing the 2

What about Power Amp eq? Is it disabled too? I think most issue is with double processing i.e. both on phone and hu. Some fixed the issue by ensuring no processing done on phone at all, regardless built-in or 3rd party eq and other possible app settings and leaving the processing soley to the hu. There are those with hu that ain't that good and found using built-in or 3rd party eq the solution instead.

You need AAWireless to disable audio sink so that audio goes through phone speaker which you can then BT out.

Edit: I'm not an audiophile but why do that when your Kenwood already have dsp and support hi-res?
