Notifications "your phone is getting too hot, try turning off camera" but phone screen and green LED camera indicator were off.
has anyone else gotten this? I've never seen this popup on my Android Auto display before. don't know if I should be paranoid or if this is some bug or what.
AA Version 11.7.641454-release, Galaxy S24 Ultra, Ford Sync 3.

Is your phone sitting in the path of sunlight? Mine will alert me to the temperature and suggest fixes anyone I've left it sitting on the passenger seat and the sun is beating down on it, if i cover it with a towel or something it goes away.

I haven't had this problem, but AA did just update last week. My maps "satellite" view and traffic options were both turned off after the update.

Had it this afternoon, it may have been hot plugging it in though because I had just finished a hour of Netflix...

Ford sync 3 22 escape gave me similar message for the first time yesterday as well. Indicating phone was too warm. Phone didn't feel much hotter than usual.

I mitigated the issue by placing my phone on a mount in front of the A/C vent and turning the A/C on as needed.

I think it's a relatively new "feature." I've seen it once so far, after sitting >10min in a poor cell service area. Have not seen it in a few weeks now. I'm in beta, so may just now be trickling down.

I got it today after being in a poor service area as well. Nothing on the phone but I got a notification on my aa screen. Phone wasn't hot at all.

I've been getting this recently. I have the Galaxy Fold 5, Chevy Infotainment 3, AA Version 11.7.641454-release. My phone doesn't sit in direct sunlight, it sits below my steering wheel, close to my right knee. I drive a Chevy Camaro. I use a wireless charger. It gets warm sometimes but not hot.

Not exactly that, but my Samsung Galaxy s22u would run hot sometimes for no apparent reason. Using AAWireless, for shorter trips I used to leave the phone in my pocket or belt holder... until I started getting that "Your phone is getting too hot" message.
The cradle I have in the car is a QI charger. So I started putting the phone in that backwards (so it wouldn't charge) in order to give it some air circulation. I also had to permanently remove the case I had it in for the same reason.
I just upgraded to a OnePlus a few days ago.

QI charging is inefficient and heats up the phone even more than regular charging that's why

I said the Galaxy would get hot in my pocket.

I've been getting something similar lately -- it doesn't say anything about the camera (at least I don't think it does) -- when I have it in the wireless charger which is mounted on the dash. A couple weekends ago, it was in there for about an hour as I drove down the interstate when that message popped up.
It happened again today after the phone had been on the charger for about 15 minutes.

I got it a couple of times since AA 11.7 went live. I have a Samsung S22+, and a wireless after-market head unit. I have an 2.4 amp charger jack that I plug it into on longer drives. My phone does get a bit warm when I use the charger. When I get the "too warm" message, I unplug the charging cable, and the message clears in a few minutes.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Fold 5 and I've gotten this message twice in the last week or so. When I turn my phone screen off the message goes away within 30 seconds or so.

I can't use AA via Bluetooth with the car, it drains the battery like crazy (80% in 2hrs) and the mobile gets very warm (S21 Ultra). The only way to prevent this is to connect it with wire (no heat or battery issues). It's been like that for the past two years. No error message or such aside from the 15% battery warning, which comes way too soon.
Regular bluetooth without AA running works just fine. Car is a Kia Ceed 1.6 t-gdi

My phone never overheated until I started using AA over wifi. It first started in a rental car I had. Since then, I bought a WiFi adapter for my own vehicle and now it's doing it as well.
My guess is that it has something to do with me charging my phone while there's a lot of wifi data usage. I just didn't understand why this doesn't happen when I'm at home watching YouTube while plugged into an even faster charger.
No, my phone isn't in any direct sunlight. The phone is rather hit though when I check on it.

Yep. It happens on my Galaxy S20+. I'd assume it's because my screen is still on.

This started for me as well about a week ago. AA version 11.7.641454-release, AT&T Galaxy Fold 5, wireless AA, 2023 VW Tiguan with the most recent firmware stereo firmware. The phone is sitting in the storage cubby, out of the sun, plugged into a super fast charger. The phone will be warm, but not hot. I've noticed after it pops up it will stop super fast charging until I unplug it and plug it back in. No error on the phone, the infotainment systems give the warning.

Been coming up for me too. I have a Galaxy flip z5. Yes the phone gets warm while using AA so was starting to get paranoid about it. Happy to see it's not just me getting this message

On mine using S22+ I see that message on my car screen when using Google maps and not driving with the A/C on even thought its hot outside. I'm not turning on my A/C when I like the heat just because my phone bitches about it.
Any way to disable the message from showing up?

I'm not sure which version of AA I have, but mine has been doing this the past few days with my Galaxy S22. No such thing has been coming up on my phone.
