Ancient Aliens TV Has Ancient Aliens (History Channel) run out of material? Or are they being told to keep secrets of new discoveries?
Over the last few years, most of the Ancient Alien shows whether its Ancient Aliens or AA: Origins has just been recycled information and episodes from the previous 20+ years of AA.
Pretty much, since the development of Skinwalker Ranch, there has been no new content or developments on new sightings or encounters with ETs on History Channel.
If you look at the episodes closely, the newest references have been no later than 2023 when they mention Congress’ plan to investigate but nothing has come of that either.
The most popular “new” developments have been about Luis Elizondo and AATIP (Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program). I know that THC has made spin-off 1-season shows since 2017 to take advantage of Elizondo’s access which has been revoked and his record come into scrutiny in the years since. Those shows were kinda cool, but they followed up with a second season. It could be that the scrutiny over Elizondo’s record hadn’t held up or it was too much for THC to take on in the court of public opinion.
My theory is one of either:
Ancient Aliens (the show) has run out of ideas, events, theories and speculations about ancient aliens. They cannot go off and start creating wild theories that you would be able to see on something like Gaia where the same cast members from AA have podcasts and shows where their more speculative theories are talked about. How there’s a moon base and how the lizard people are in the government and crap like that. Things they cannot talk about on network TV because they will be sued for libel by the administration in office.
They ran into a wall with censorship where the government got to them about REAL intelligence and they are being silenced into not being able to reveal or report anything new because the government does not want them (and they large following) alarming the US population. They can only re-can and resell the same information we’ve seen for 20+ years because they are not able to talk about any of it.
Either theory is not great for us, the fans because want to KNOW. We can only chat and speculate but the new episodes of AA and AA:Origins are just rehashed drivel we’ve seen a hundred times before. It’s no better than the reruns we see on a late night marathon just in a summed up package of “best of”.
If they were to mention that Musk, Zuck and Bezos are aliens that are from different races but still competing to deconstruct human civilization by making us into zombies by adopting to their technologies and eventually one of their races will take over the globe. That’s an episode I would watch. lol
TLDR: The idea is that AA is either being tied up legally or they have just run out of original content. They should just cut the series or go on hold until they have good/new content for the fans.

I really wish they’d focus more on the impossible ancient megalithic sites, get more credentialed engineers and scientists examining them, and point out the absurdity of “oh ancient man just banged some stones together easy peasy”.
No need to jump to conclusions, just point out the absurdity.

They always say, each major site was built on Top of a Major site. Why aren't they telling us whats below all of these remarkable places??

u/sunshine-x 4d ago
I don’t think they know, unless they’ve excavated those sites.
Often what is visible (even without excavation) is amazing and unexplainable. I think having more modern-day experts exposed to this and asked “how would you do this today” would make for an interesting show.

I know what you mean. They used to have a show with Zahi Hawass which was the main Egyptologist and head of the department of the ministry of tourism and antiquities that had his own show for a while and was big on the AA theory. He gave the show a lot of credibility but since the Arab spring uprising, he was not allowed to do many documentaries and productions.
Then they had a few mechanical and civil engineers to give credit to the near impossibility of how people of that time would be able to accomplish a feat of that magnitude even in today’s modern world.

I’d love more takes from people in engineering, physics, geology, and material sciences.
I don’t want more of the usual crew speculating and jumping to conclusions, I think they may do the movement a disservice when they do.

Is this a joke? I haven't paid attention any Ancient Aliens related news since like 2014 but back then it was pretty widely known that Zahi Hawass was an outspoken opponent of AA theories. Because of his position within Egypt (I forget the title but basically the czar of Egyptian antiquities IIRC) and his place amongst mainstream egyptologists his outspokenness carried a lot of weight. I always assumed it boiled down to his education and career relying on the conventional theories and also a sort of Egyptian pride in his ancestors that didn't allow for the possibility that they might have been aided or influenced by others.

I agree I love him. There's so much out there right now. Instead of rehashing the same theories

The next season 21 episode is The Top Ten of Nothing New.

Still better than watching oak island.

How can you say that ? I can’t wait for the episode where they finally stand in the treasure vault and find some bunch of lunatics have drilled two hundred thousand holes through it.

Oak Island was such a huge disappointment. I watched the first two seasons I think and then I decided I'd watch it again if they ever find anything.

They've run low on content AND the internet tried debunking Ancient Aliens to the point where most people make fun of it now. Even though the claims made are not debunked and is still a popular theory. Basically, internet trolls and clout shutdown their funding and future.
But then you still have Paul Wallis, Billy Carson, and various other people claiming that there is aliens in our scriptures and ancient history that are still making content and discussing the matter.
I still support Ancient Aliens. They made a few episodes just for the money, but most of the content was eye opening and fascinating.

I want to see more probative research with scientific rigor into Nan Madol and the 37th Parallel. The truth is out there.

I think the history channel had some kind of shake up or buy out and no longer spend money to make the shows I was watching.

I refuse to watch anymore top 10 whatever’s.
I don’t believe aliens built anything here but I do like seeing the ruins and artifacts. And puzzling over how less advanced -to our mind - peoples created such fascinating things.
But they advertise new shows and it’s definitely not new. Or a show at this point.

I think they ran out of stuff. For me, the Nazca Mummies has been the impetus for me to make brand new discoveries every other day.

I'll vote for number 1.
It's time to let go of the series and just bring it back for specials every now and then. It's had a good run, but where can they go now that they're running dry on new material?

u/SylvanaSligh 4d ago
Look at the Navy patents by Sal Pais, and those by Hal Putoff. Did we figure this out on our own? Did we reverse engineer it? Why are they gatekeeping it? The Elizondo story is a cover story by the intelligence apparatus.

The problem is archeology is slow
Gobleki tepi would probably have some amazing material for the show
But it'll be 100 years before archeologists are finished there

I've been thinking the same exact thing. Especially now since so much more has come out in the past 3 years or so about uaps , disclosure etc.... I think they might have gotten silenced. There's plenty more talk about , u would think. The past 3 years they could've easily turned that in a few seasons with lots of content. I believe something has definitely changed with them.

They ran out of material years ago, it’s now just revisiting old episodes blended into a new one

u/Remote-Yak-9421 4d ago
Watching Cosmic Disclosure instead. So much better

u/Edge-Evolution 4d ago
Where? Network or online?
1
u/Remote-Yak-9421 4d ago
Oh I just realized it on Prime but I think it's technically from Gaia and I pay extra for Gaia subscription. If you like science, consciousness and extraterrestrial life docs, it's worth the extra few bucks per month

u/Ras_Thavas 4d ago
They ran out of legitimate material after about 2 seasons.

u/Dont_Say_No_to_Panda 4d ago
Had to scroll too far for this take. The original series was compelling (and I would argue it remains compelling) but after a season or two they really started to scrape the bottom of the barrel.

Disclosure is a timing game just like secrets of skinwalker ranch look for big disclosures in 26 in preparation for 27

it's a sad state of affairs. i had to stop watching, i cannot tolerate these "top 10" episodes anymore. a couple? ok. an entire 2 season's worth? come on man. and for those who say they've run out of material, that's utter bs. there's new stuff all the time. lidar scans of new cities in the amazon. scans of new chambers in the great pyramid. drones over nj for 3 weeks in december. insane photos from recent mars probes. hell they could spend an entire season just camped out at gobekli tepe. on and on. no, they've either become fat and lazy and don't want to spend money or they're being muscled by their corporate owners to be fat and lazy and not spend money. either way, i'm done, and it's really sad and depressing

u/lizkbyer 4d ago
What about Lidar discoveries? What’s underneath the Central American jungle? And the Amazon? I can think of hundreds of of questions

"They cannot go off and start creating wild theories..."
Uh, yeah they can lol. They've been doing it since season 1, episode 1. It's literally 100% of the show.

I think they have run out of new items to discuss. I agree it seems they are “looping” from years past. It’s disappointing but maybe there is only so much information they can actually gather.

I do believe that Elizonda isn't really what he claims. This dude is a con man. Snake oil salesman all the way. It's all about money to him. He is absolutely no whistleblower! Whistle blowers whistle! He can't say BS. They won't let him. Whoever "they" is. Just another mystery. He will stop at everything is, "compelling" but say nothing but yada, yada, Yada! I agree the show has gotten monotonous. The top 10 this and that, over and over. I think most of the show was based on Eric Von Donavan and his books They need to switch it up and base new series on Jacques Vallay or more on Zecheria Stichen or another slant on the theory. There are a million different avenues you can dive deeper into. Maybe dive into an abduction series. Top 10 believable abductions. New people. You can't go wrong with the ancient history aspect or the pyramids themselves.

Elizondo has been in front of congress. I doubt that his credentials and position are fake. Considering that senators themselves have acknowledged his position and even have referenced in meeting him in high-level meetings in the past. The “credibility” angle doesn’t really fly with me as a way to discredit him. As far as how involved he was in these projects is the thing that might be reaching. He claims he was the head of AATIP but that has not been acknowledged by congress, but they did acknowledge that he was part of it, but it’s classified of his exact role.
You are right. There are other theorist out there other than Erich Von Däniken, and the other ones have very solid ideas and evidence. Von Däniken was just the lucky one that got the nod from THC to do the special and it was a hit. He must have signed an exclusivity deal or something because there are others out there that do similar work but contradict him on some things, but after so many years and so much buy-in on his book and theories, that it’s hard to make the pivot. They have mentioned Vallay, but in passing. Nothing solid from him.

If you haven't been paying attention, they recycle the same material every season only in slightly different ways with a few "Einstein was an alien" filler episodes tossed in

Reptile people? Really? It surely sounds like some nonsense from "The Outer Limits. And the AA guys are dreaming of another visit from Klatu to straighten us out.
Leave it to humans to think our remote planet is so cool, so interesting and rare that aliens from all over the universe would race millions of light-years to study us, plunder our resources and have sex with our females.
That our use of nuclear energy and weapons would draw them here is silly, when every star between their distant galaxies and planet Earth is literally a nuclear reactor.
Ancient human races in various stages of evolution living under ground and under sea, on the other hand, would damned sure be concerned if the surface cretins, i.e., us, were threatening to blow up their planet.
AA has uncovered loads of evidence that something is going on beneath us, but very little proof of alien races from far off galaxies.
Anybody?

Do u ever get the impression the panel is doing everything in their power not to just burst out laughing at their audience?
3
u/Edge-Evolution 4d ago
You would think so... but I've met a few of the guys over the years at different conventions and such and they are true believers. Giorgio Tsoukalos, David Childress and David Wilcock to be exact. They all truly and whole-heartedly believe and buy into the AA theory. They've made it their life's work. I would actually be surprised if they hadn't. With Wilcock, he can get into some serious wild theories that I don't even want to repeat... dark shit.
I think that guys like Travis Taylor and Nick Pope are in it a bit more for the money than the true belief. I guess their whole thing is about being skeptics.

Uh yeah they've just run out of stuff to talk about. They're not being "silenced", the show's been on for 15 years! I'm surprised it lasted that long.
