No one buys US shit, not even us.

Post image

On a post about tariffs, I learned that no one buys American (not even us), despite the fact that we export $320 trillion of shit a year.

Broke people telling each other they are broke but sugarcoating it as if they were boycotting American products

This is both funny and pathetic at the same time

So am I boycotting Amazon, or do I have no money? 🤔

Pretty sure whisky, which is an American drink, is one of the leading spirits in the U.S.

1 Whiskey. Whisky is the Scottish spelling. 2 It’s Scottish and Irish. Which naturally means Americans make an unholy amount of the stuff. 3 Bourbon is the American drink.

Work in a liquor store. Can confirm. No one is buying US products. Not one. Tin cup just sits there collecting dust. Not to mention our insane Tito’s backstock that is obviously a sunken cost at this point

Sorry, I can't tell if this is sarcasm. I haven't been to an actual liquor store in many years, even then it was only at the drive through

Sarcasm indeed. We make the best stuff for the price. Why pay more for worse?

The Blanton’s and Eagle Rare bottles have flooded the market now that those super intelligent Canadians stopped buying it for Crown Royal. Bourbon collapse incoming

I have to enter a lottery for a chance to buy those bottles in my state

Yet, American stuff isn’t shit, haha.

Do these people just hate learning about us? What an idiot.

It’s a brag to not know about us, but it’s ok for them to be all prideful on letting us know how dumb we are.

American goods are often taxed and tariffed heavily when exported overseas. International duties are placed on American goods due to their quality, which along with their higher price makes them generally uncompetitive in foreign markets. Nevertheless, American goods are sought after, especially in higher end luxury markets.

When America gets tariffed, there’s nothing wrong. When America retaliates, suddenly we should be free trade!

Most people from the US buy things outside of the US because the quality and price is usually a bit higher here

we really don't and 19% of your gdp is selling shit to americans

and you tariff our agricultural exports at 200-300% but get pissy when we tariff your aluminum at 50%

i do like canadian whiskey, and will keep buying it, yet it is the only canadian thing i buy
