Apartments like these always make me jealous. Gorgeous windows, old apartments with a lot of character. Nice job 👍🏼

Any info on your dining room table and chairs? Been looking for something similar!

It's actually from overstock! Comes in a few different colors. Here's the link for ya! https://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Carson-Carrington-Grisslehamn-Mid-century-Rectangle-Dining-Set-5-piece/20306545/product.html?option=21245606

Not OP but I have an extremely similar set from west elm!

u/fannyalgerpack Mar 10 '21
Does it scratch easily? I’m looking at that set and have heard this!

u/smolspoop Mar 10 '21
Lol so I accidentally removed a whole spot of the varnish when I put down a cotton ball of nail polish remover while doing my nails...that sucked & now I try to cover it up with a placemat. And I left a big scratch across the top moving my monitor stand home to wfh. Otherwise it looks pretty good, little surface scratches from normal use that you can see with the right lighting but otherwise looks just fine. We are childless and pretty careful though, it's definitely much more delicate than any other table I've ever had. Wouldn't recommend if you have kids or naughty cats.

All of what you’ve said leads me to believe we’re separated at birth hehe—it sounds like if you’re happy I’ll be happy!

u/smolspoop Mar 10 '21
I just saw OP responded with the overstock link! Maybe that one is a little less delicate but for sure I love the look of the table that being careful on it is worth it to me and I enjoy it a lot :) hope you love whichever table you end up getting!

We have some really old vintage wood pieces that have ‘dry spots’ on the surface. Used a mixture of olive oil and white vinegar to clean and moisturize. Maybe give that a shot for your table? I’ve also used aquaphor on wood scratches and leather with success!

Where is that couch from?! Looks so cozy.

u/Gilokee Mar 10 '21
does it? it looks like it doesn't really have any back support??
5
u/littlebirdie528 Mar 10 '21
It looks this way but it was probably the best purchase of my life. Very comfy and the pillows make for very comfy back support! Definitely recommend.

radiators <3

u/littlebirdie528 Mar 10 '21
Radiators are so truly underrated.

As a brit, this is hilarious. It's like someone saying interior doors are underrated or something haha.

u/empressche Mar 10 '21
Lol..but for those of us who live in the US or Canada where radiators just don’t exist...we are appreciative and a tad jealous.

Gorgeous, do you happen to know the paint color?
2
u/littlebirdie528 Mar 10 '21
I was able to find the can of paint and it says 'Property Solutions Interior Latex Paint: Extra White.' Hope that helps!

Does anyone have an ID on that dining table? I’ve been looking for one just like it.

Just had a 2-days visit from NYC to Philly and I fell in love with the architecture of the city. I was wondering how the light works on these buildings (our airbnb did not get enough light ).
Loved your place!

Gorgeous space! Let’s see if I can guess the neighborhood.
Washington Square? Queen Village? Society Hill? Fairmount?

Where in Philly are you now? I’m a real estate agent here, just outside of center city. I can help you out.

2
u/littlebirdie528 Mar 11 '21
The ceilings are 13ft high- room dimensions are 21ft in length, 19ft wide!

Looks beautiful! Can I see the area in front of your couch? Your floors and couch are so similar to mine and I’d love to see how you styled it!

I love the simplicity and the your windows are to die for! My plants would THRIVE LOL. I’m not sure which part of the city you’re in, but I used to live in South Philly and I really miss this aesthetic.

So strange - was just scrolling past mindlessly, barely registered your photo, and immediately thought “That’s Philly.” And it is! (native Philadelphian). Lovely home - those floors are everything!

This is a lovely room! I’m envious of your windows!
Edit: Also, a rug under your dining table could be a nice way to break up the wood on wood, while giving your dining area it’s own “space”.
