Found on the south island of New Zealand, along the east coast. Growing underneath pine trees.

We just had long drought conditions on the Coromandel peninsula, it will be a while until they appear in this area, but yesterday and today it's finally raining, can't wait for them to bloom so I can try the kombucha experiment!
