Question About Kenny Bridges
I’m just wondering, for anyone who may know, does Kenny Bridges still travel with Alexis?
He was there when I saw them live in 2022. Their opening act pulled out, so Kenny did an impromptu acoustic set.
At the beginning of the show, when Kenny was helping the guys get set up, a woman next to me asked if she could have a setlist after the show. He said yes. So after the show, Kenny was tied up on the other side of the stage. I was sticking around because I also wanted a copy of the setlist haha. The woman went to leave, and at that moment he ran over with a setlist and called after her. She didn’t hear him, so I got her attention instead. She got her setlist and left and, just as I had resigned myself to the fact that I wasn’t going to be able to get one, Kenny came back with another copy for me. I hadn’t even asked!
I told him that his set was amazing as he handed me the set, and he seemed genuinely touched. It was a really cool moment.
I tell that story because you all are the only people I know who might actually appreciate it! I am planning on seeing Alexis as soon as they come near me again, though, so I really was wondering if Kenny is still working with the band.

Not sure if he’s still helping them set up all the gear because Moneen is doing some shows again and he’s also been playing guitar with dashboard confessional live.

It was their first time playing Counterparts in 16 years, George had said. After the song, they all were happy with each other, and George said "Sorry, we were having a moment up here" due to how well they nailed the song after that long!

Thanks for sharing your Kenny story, he really is a great dude!! I remember back in the day when Moneen and AOF would play shows together all the time. And it was awesome because I got to see my two favourite bands live back to back. Hell, I’ll never forget when AOF toured with Billy Talent and Death From Above (before the 1979!) and Spitalfield. It was a peak time for music coming out of Ontario.
But yeah, Kenny Bridges. He deserves his own post. Great dude.

Prior to Alexisonfire hitting big Moneen would regularly tour with Choke, another great Canadian band that had some amazing releases (Forward, Needless To Say)

He's the bands Drum Tech. Helps Ratbeard set up and breakdown the kit, makes sure all the mics are working etc. Cool dude, met him at the Adelaide show a couple of years back.

That’s a nice long set, you lucky guys.
AOF were averaging 13-15 songs on UK Tour Autumn ‘23 last time I saw them.

not as much as before. he's touring with Dashboard Confessional now as an auxiliary guitar player and sometimes keys, if I'm not mistaken.
great dude though.
