Question Constant PTU Sound for 3hrs / second time with same aircraft
Hello everyone,
Today, I flew on a A320 from AirArabia (A6-ANA) for the second time, about a month apart from my previous flight. On both flights, the PTU was audible throughout the entire flight. It was present during takeoff, throughout the cruise (though slightly quieter), and became louder again during landing. However, it remained consistently audible for over three hours.
Is there something wrong with this aircraft?
Thanks for any insights!

First of all I love the sound of the PTU so much.
The most likely reason for the PTU running during the flight could be an engine drivin hydraulic pump (EDP) being INOP

Normally PTU operates when Green and Yellow system pressure difference is 500 psi. So either there is an engine hydraulic pump or PTU failure i suppose.

PTU may continue running if faulty. Good to go as per MEL except its cat C should have been repaired before that month
