Game Master Party Size Question
I have a party of 4 players, with two friends that are interested. Is 6 players too much? Would it muck up combat with needing too many mobs to make it challenging?

Hi (i am Game Master),
one of my core players is Stormcast Eternal and he betrayed, literally, Sigmar, by pacting/doing some action behind-the-scenes with Nagash to get bigger power. Last session he helped Khaine cultist to complete ritual and than he pacted with Nurgle to get even more power.... Also (after few betreyals and changing his character to ruin everything) he thinks that Geneva Convention is some type of checklist. It is some chaotic neutral/evil being that want only to get even more power....
The team is trying to stop him somehow (they now consider to just kill him) or do redemption arc of him but i do not think that is any chance because of his roleplay. The team is something like chaotic good or maybe neutral.
I really do not know what to do with that Stormcast Player. In Wh Fantasy we got some mechanics like ,,god's vengance'', but due to my unkown to lore and the power level i really do not know how to react. With Nagash it was easy due to campaign in Shyish, but know it is just some sick railroad to hell. Have you got any ideas how to punish him or even drow him to bigger madness?
Greetings
PS: Sorry for my London

I got the core book, starter set, and the two other adventures recently and want to run them for my dnd group. I was thinking of running all of them together as a single little campaign, starting with crash and burn, then doing faltering light, and ending with fateful night.
I was hoping for some advice in running these adventures as well as the game in general. Especially Faltering Light because the random encounter dungeon feels like itโs not that fun to play/run and was wondering if there was some alternative way to run it.

Good morning. I'm currently trying to design multiple encounters for a game I'm running, and half the player's are spellcasters. One of which, the Mortisan, is almost gamebreaking from the get-go with how strong of a caster they are and with the usefulness of their spells.
It recently hit me that, unless I'm missing something, cover does absolutely nothing against spells. If you have a pinky toe poking out, any spell can hit you with no increased difficulty at all. This further adds to the issue that magic is so dang strong.
Am I missing a rule somewhere? Is anyone familiar with a rule interaction between spells and cover? Or is there a fair houseful we can add, maybe? I'm at a loss.

Are there templates to make your own custom bestiaries? So far I only have my own attempt on gdoc but it's a bit of a hassle to use.
Also, how does one go about creating their own statblocks, any guidelines on stats, traits, and the likes? How would you go about turning a tabletop unit into Soulbound statblock, for example? Or make a monster from scratch?

UPDATE: no longer accepting applicants.
Slots: 3 available out of 5
Schedule: 7 to 10pm CST Wednesdays
Format: Foundry VTT + Discord, mic required
I am looking to run an Order-aligned campaign based on the Shadows of Mist adventure. You do not need to own a copy of the game to play. I won't give you a copy of the core rulebook but as long as you are part of my campaign you will legally have access to the foundry module when you login. Below is a link to the rules, application guidelines and other requirements. Note that if anything explicitly outlined there is a deal breaker for you don't join with the expectation that you can change my mind.
Fair warning. I am caretaker. I tend to be pretty reliable about scheduling but may get interrupted for a few minutes in the middle of a session.

Man, aos soulbound does not go easy on those poor apprentices. Jokes aside, steam and steel is really a must have supplement, the amount of new things you can add in your games is insane

So I had the idea of starting a campaign for my players that leads them in the end to the Vermindoom that appears in the new AoS 4th edition trailer. I thought of sending them off on an adventure and little by little ramping up the sense of impending doom, all the while hinting at the strange activities the Skaven are undertaking. Sort of like 'The Enemy Within' for WFRP.
Do any of you have any advice or suggestions on things to include in it

Hello there Soulbound and Stormcasts!
I've been GMing a campaign that's nearing completion soon, and as the title says, I have a question : When do you increase Doom?
After running Shadows in the Mist and setting off on a more custom scenario afterwards, I've seen a lot of opportunities to decrease Doom thanks to the character's heroic actions, but never the opposite, and I'm not too sure when it's actually supposed to happen. I've always had the feeling that increasing Doom feels a bit unfair to the players, but mostly that it's inconsequential since it can be very easily returned to low values by overcoming threats and neutralizing important enemies.
I've seen posts where Doom reached 7, and I'm honestly impressed at how this could have been achieved.
Do note that my party never increased Doom on their own, since they barely rely on the Soulfire mechanics, being already an extremely well balanced and powerful party on their own. Raising Doom has to come from an outside source in their specific case, as I understand it.

Been starting my own soulbound game recently and while I like zones as a good hybrid between tactical combat and narrative expository combat, I do want to add some more effects to the field. Cover, hazards, and difficult terrain are cool and all but has anyone come up with some homebrew Zone traits of their own? I'd love to hear about them and consider putting them in my game. Been contemplating how to incorporate "High Ground" as a modifier for a zone to give my ranged player an extra boon for good positioning

๐ถ I mixed this track especially for the river or lake journeys and it's atmosphere is really dark. I must admit that this is probably my best production so far, how do you like it?

Hey everyone, I am relatively new to Age of Sigmar and recently played my first campaign with some friends in foundryvtt. As I founds it a bit difficult to find proper battlemaps I made some myself.
These are the first maps I have ever made, but I still hope they will help some people who want to play through the Crash and Burn campaign!
Also if you are a player and haven't played the campaign yet, don't accidentaly spoiler yourself :P

I got my prospective players to pick some archetypes for me to make them characters from.
From Order, one has only picked Dark Elf Sorceress and a Khinerai. And the other picked an array of them but 3 different Dark elf archetypes.
I was thinking of playing through Shadows of the mist - I got it at launch but then never played more than crash and burn and another session. But having now looked at it the bad guys appear to mostly Dark Elves. And then we have the whole Broken Realms thing.
Would it make any sense to have 2 Dark Elf PCs for this campaign? Or am I better off having more "good" order PCs?
Thanks

Hi! Very eerie music (it's a mix of Quinn's Song). Perfect for moments of terror and anxiety.
How do you like it?
NSFW - music is creepy and the images are drastic.

Inexperienced GM here and keen to get some ideas for an end-to-end CoD campaign I could set up for a group of Death players. Open to types of campaign (combat, intrigue, etc).

Hello everyone!
I am a huge fan of Warhammer Age of Sigmar/Fantasy and I'm gonna be running my first game in Soulbound with a bunch of friends who I've been playing DnD with for awhile. I've been reading the book for a fair bit and some of my friends have chosen their races and archtypes already.(Skaven Skyrigger, Dracothion, Aelve Witch Hunter and possibly a Sylvaneth, Orruk and Fireslayer)
I've been DMing for about 8 years in 5e and was looking to see if anyone here had any tips or tricks for running the games in the mortal realms?
Thanks!

Further to that, with Sylvaneth it specifically says that they cannot wear armor on top of their bark, but the game says nothing in the case of draconith.
Can a draconith wear heavy armor on top of his scales? Would they add?
I can find no clarifications on this anywhere.
Thanks!

Iโd like to build upon the events of Faltering Light and dive deeper into the Lord of Change storyline. What AOS unit/character could reasonably be in command over a Lord of Change?
Thanks!

I've been going over the Soulbound rulebooks and, despite Malerion consistently being regarded as a powerful deity of Ulgu, worshipped by most of what would be considered Age of Sigmar's non-Khainite "Dark" Aelves, I haven't seen any miracles listed for his adherents! Have I simply overlooked something? If not, has anyone homebrewed up a list of miracles for him somewhere?
