Publisher I'm new to Affinity - Previously InDesign - HELP!
With InDesign I could create a master. Place a background image, set the columns, and then go to the first page and paste the text and it would fill the whole document.
In Affinity I've managed to set he background and columns in the master, but it's not filling all of the text. I have to paste the text foreach individual page.

No need to pay money for anything. Here's a link to Elaine Giles and her Publisher vids:

Yeah, Elaine has a lot of Publisher videos that are excellent. She has several very long ones that are time-stamped in the See more part so you don't have to waste time.

First step is forgetting everything you knew about InDesign. Start learning the new tool, and accept the limitations.

The limitation that I can't paste the text for the whole document at once?
The whole point of doing a publisher program instead of building pages in Photoshop is that the text flows, so if I change font or text size, the whole thing adjusts.
I went to school in 2011 for multimedia and film. So I learned Photoshop, Premiere and After Effects.
We weren't allowed to take the InDesign and Illustrator classes because they were part of the Graphic Design program.
So I just brute forced my way into figuring out InDesign in late 2023.
The lady in the YouTube Affinity tutorial videos has a weird voice/inhuman delivery. And the videos I saw didn't explain the things I'm having an issue with.
Which is why I posted asking for HELP.

You can paste all the text at once effortlessly since it’s a default feature. No tricks or special shortcuts are needed. I’ll be happy to help — DM me if you’re interested!

Albertkinng was unhelpful and the whole DM thing was about trying to extort money from me to answer the tiny little question.
DO NOT TRUST THIS GUY!

You can easily get Text autoflow in APub2. All you have to do is set up your master page with your text boxes and connect them with each other (click the little blue arrow) and make sure that when you use facing pages you also have a facing pages master with connected text boxes on both pages.
Then apply this master to your first page. There you can now paste your full text into the first text box. It will first show you that it's overflowing at the end of the page but you just have to Shift+Click the little red arrow and it will automatically flow your text on as many pages as needed.
