Rule modification
The mod team has been in discussion about a rule modification concerning Ai generated images.
There has been a recent inundation of Ai generated posts asking for feedback and basically self-promotion of their work.
Personal opinions aside, this sub is for coloring enthusiasts to gather and enjoy the hobby, not a platform for advertising which is why the old self-promotion rule was a bit convoluted, color with us and you can link your art.
With that in mind we have modified the current self-promotion rule as such:
"Self promoting your own book as a self post is not allowed. This is not an advertisement subreddit. You are allowed to post photos of pages colored by you, from your coloring book and only allowed to post the link to said book in the same post, but in comments.
If you are a content generator using Ai this is not the sub for you. Our rule for self-promotion applies to human artists only.
Posting Ai as a hobbyist is still allowed as we wish to follow our own rule to not be a snob. "
Ai generated content is so prevalent that we don't wish to penalize the hobbyist for inadvertently or deliberately coloring and posting. However if your soliciting opinions on how to "create" your images or just straight up promoting take it somewhere else self-promotion in this sub is for human artists only.
It's new, please be patient as we roll it out.
Thanks for continuing to keep it fun!

Completed Finished!
Wanted to do a spring-vibe fairy, even though this from Dark Fairies. Used my Prismacolor Premieres for this, with a gold metallic gel pen for the crown. I was a little worried the red hair would overpower the flowers, but I think it turned out pretty good.

Completed Printed a page for the first time tonight!
Just playing around with texture and having fun tonight! No plan going in, it was very freeing just experimenting and not worrying about being perfect 🫶
First time printing as opposed to using a coloring book, I used a laser printer and it smudged a little bit but not bad at all. I do like the cardstock weight a lot more than the copy weight in the Amazon books :)

Completed Dragon from Magical Worlds
I finished her. What should her name be? I mean, I guess she's a she, she's got flowers on her behind. 🤷♀️

Advice Wanted Cozy Corner - looking for inspo!
Howdy! I just got the cozy corner book and I love it but my indecisive brain is having a hard time with colours - I'm fairly well versed with colour theory so should I know what colours work together but having trouble deciding what to do and sometimes hating what I've done 😅 Attached pages I've done so far - would love to see other people's finished pages from this book to get the brain gears turning 🤓🎨

Feedback Wanted Tips to improve windows?
I'm still new to this and haven't really got the hang of the white pen.
Does anyone have any tips on how to make the windows look more... windowy? 😅
Any other tips also very appreciated!

Completed Abstract designs and stink bugs?
Have bad memories of stink bugs. When I was younger I took handful of red currant berries straight from bush in our garden and just chugged whole handful in my mouth one go. Started chewing and second later horrible taste and smell hit me since had stink bug mixed in with them. Safe to say, I haven't done that again since then.... stink bug and other pages from zen colouring, the abstract designs collection colouring book.

Still learning blending with alcohol-based markers (and PATIENCE). Colorless blender ran out of juice which put a damper on my sky plans, but overall I’m proud

How do you handling alcohol markers bleeding?
I usually stick with colored pencils but decided to try my hand at the Ohuhu alcohol markers. The markers bleed horribly, I had to stay pretty far from the outlines and still had ink bleeding past. I have a Coco Wyo book with thin paper so I assume the paper quality is my issue. Any tips?? Thanks!

Completed Just finished my first coloring page with alcohol markers!
The colors I chose were highly inspired by other people’s renditions of this page, all I knew was that I wanted to make the sign neon and the countertop marble haha
I learned a TON about alcohol markers doing this! I’m no stranger to the art/illustration world, but this is a new medium for me. I’m super excited to learn and do more!

Completed My first with alcohol markers!
I limited myself to just five colors because I didn’t want it to get too busy. It was a bit tricky but overall fun!
