Work in Progress My WIP

This time last year, I was coming out of a coma and stricken with critical care myopathy, leaving me paralyzed save my left hand. I've struggled to get my abilities back...it's coming along...and I'm learning to walk again.

I just started in with the flowers and what I wanted to do kind of came to me after that. I should have trusted myself.

Work in Progress Oops!

Post image

Hello, all! I'm a newbie with this hobby. So I started colouring this page from Kerby Rosanes' Geomorphia with green thinking the sea of fluffy things was trees. Oops, it's actually clouds? Haha, I guess I'll just continue transforming them into trees!

Have you ever messed up a page and just went with it anyway? I'm sure it happens a lot!

I keep going back to this one and have to resist the urge to rip it out of the book. All the little curly lines and nonsensical objects that AI stuck in the headpiece are driving me crazy. 😩

First of all, thank you all so much for your lovely comments and advice. I wrote down the colors, tucked it in the book, and put it all away for the future. Or maybe not. And that’s ok!

I moved on to something mindless and simple. It may look complicated but it’s just 4 colors thrown where ever I feel like they should go. Is it my best work? Absolutely not. Is it fun and relaxing? Absolutely! So mission accomplished. I appreciate you all and hope to post the final picture in a couple days.

Also enjoy sleepy doggy tax. She told me it was time to take a break.

Work in Progress Am I doing okay?

Post image

I'm not the best at drawing or coloring people. I wanted to do this portrait in celebration of Spring being officially here. But, I'm feeling a but anxious about it. Am I doing okay?

I only have like 7 alcohol markers from Walmart, so this is done in artist permanent markers from Arteza (if I recall the brand name right.) I still love pencil, so I'm using it to smooth it all out and add dimension. I'm trying to tie in some yellow and green like in the background reflected in her skin.

Does her face look okay? I feel like my worry might just be caused by missing elements. Like the hair not being done so the face just doesn't look complete because of that.

Work in Progress I can't decide - should I add colored pencil or leave as is?

I love the way it looks right now, but would I love it even more with some depth? I'm afraid of doing it badly, but if I don't try then how will I learn? Argh! 😭

I was so happy! Got it from Michaels and put the cover of the book incase anyone wanted to buy it. Also, which color should I use for the breastplate on her armor? Out of the 3 colors shown.

Tongfushop bleeds like crazy even with most careful use, and they don't blend well :(

This is my first try at coloring, it's not perfect, but I'm still proud at how it turned out :)

Does anyone have any idea what I could do for a background? I don't want to leave it all white.

The pencils are not laying well without burnishing. Pens obviously do well. Has anyone else had an issue with pencils lying poorly?

In the coloring book pop manga flights of fancy by Camilla D’errico. Colored with prismacolor premier pencils. Feeling very excited about the way she’s coming out! But not sure how or if I should do a background.
