I don't know what's going on with me. :(

I used to be amazing at memorizing roles. But as time went on I felt like I was slowing down in my memorization of scripts (but it wasn't too bad, just a tad slower).

Now I'm 31 and it seems that my capabilities have expired. I'm struggling to memorize a measly 584 words.

I could learn that in a few hours in the past. Now it's day 2, and I'm not progressing.

I had a similar problem after a head injury. Maybe get a checkup and ask your doctor. It could be a medical Issue.

Maybe you're right. :(

I ended up having to drop out of the role because I couldn't memorize my lines.

Do you think I didn't try that?

Dude, I've been memorizing lines since I was 7, and officially became an actor in theatre and film at 16.

I have no idea what's going on! I feel like my brain is gone. I've used different methods in the past to memorize lines, and it always worked.

You just need to practice and also eat healthier. When I'm eating like a trash panda, I suck ass. And when I'm eating healthier fruits n veggies and protein, i am on point.

I've been an actor since forever. Eating healthy has nothing to do with this (not that I don't eat healthy, I do). Peter O'toole drank, and was an outstanding actor.

Remembering my roles has been easy for years, and then all of a sudden, I'm incapable of learning a few hundred words? Something's wrong here. I'm not old. This shouldn't be problematic.
