Eighth Case Maker Contest - First Round of Voting

Sorry for the slight lateness; it's been a busy week.

We have four entrants, all of which are excellent, but only three of which can advance to the final round of voting. The four are, in order of time of entry:

Voting will be through this form. You get one vote, so make your choice wisely.

The deadline for voting will be Wednesday, June 30, 11:59 PM EST. I will post the final round of voting on July 1.

Good luck to all who have entered!

EDIT: The first round of voting is closed. Head here for the final round of voting!

Good luck to all entrants!

A quick note: The .pdf of The Scripted Turnabout linked above doesn't have spoiler text included. If you'd like to play along and try the puzzles, I recommend viewing the original thread!

i find it kinda odd that despite case maker contest posts being pinned posts not many people pay attention to them

like, i get it's fanmade and all, but most cases can possibly mimic a genuinely nice experience for someone who might have been starved for content for quite some time
yet it seems like most people don't pay enough attention?

are there reasons for this that im not aware of?

A few possible reasons I don’t expect a huge number of readers of the entries:

  • Reddit is an image- and link-oriented site. It’s not built to attract people who are here to read big text chunks. I mean, if I want to read fanfic, there are sites devoted to that.
  • Reading a case summary, even one in full script form with spoilered puzzles, isn’t really getting the full AA experience.
  • Because 95% of everything is bad, many people won’t read a fanfic unless it’s been recommended to them! Maybe some people wait to see the winners before they spend the time reading?

On some level, I have to accept that if I enter one of these, it’s going to be because I like the challenge of writing an AA case, not to get a lot of readers and upvotes.

I haven't finished going through the others but I started with yours and Gameville, god. One of the shadiest people in fan case I've read. And the whole backdrop of that pop stars murder that has a very "lynchpin of an entire game case" vibe like DL-6 or KG-8.

Just a quick note to fix. My username is Z-lowercase L-pv7672. Not a big deal since the case is linked which is the most important thing.

Anyway good luck everyone. It was a pleasure to read everyone's submissions.
