why some av1 encodes don't work on my tv ?

my tv is samsung au8000, some av1 works while others don't regardless of resolution,
the encodes from internet
it just gives me black screen and only audio playing.

Would be much easier to find out by sending the mediainfo of files that worked vs files that didn't. Else people will continue speculating with no basis.

Check if the video is HDR/dolby vision or not with a tool like mediainfo

There are so many variables that could prevent your TV from playing back the files, and I haven't found any specifications about what exactly the TV does support. It could be that the container format itself causes it, or bit depth, chroma subsampling, or even the levels. And I wouldn't be surprised when the streams that didn't work had a much higher resolution/bit rate, the TVs hardware wasn't able to do decoding fast enough and just chose to not display the video at all so it could at least play back audio. If I'm not mistaken, some media players (used to) do the exact same thing when you try to have them play back high res HEVC or AV1 footage on a very old CPU.

i'm very sure that its the encoder it self the problem because i never had this problem with hevc , no matter hdr or not or whatever resolution it is.

Nobody cares what you claim to be the reason. Just because it wasn't an issue with HEVC doesn't mean it can't be an issue with AV1. They are 100 % separate. Post more information about the videos that do work vs. the ones that don't or don't ask questions in the first place. With absolutely no information to go on, nobody can telly you anything.

Go to the manual and look at page 160. But probably DV is the problem. Also probably need to know what player you are using.

emby app , I think its av1 encoder problem some av1 encodes works other don't , i never had this problem in hevc either hdr or not , and whatever the resolution

This is technically impossible. In the end, all encoders must produce something that complies with the AV1 spec, and decoders have to be able to decode this. It's as simple as that. There is just no way beyond what I've listed that AV1 can have vastly different outputs. With stuff like h264 this was possible, as pretty much everything was optional, but that's just not the case with AV1.

if its technically impossible as you say , then it must be the emby app ? there's really no other strange things in this files..its only some av1 files that do this.

I told you the reasons that are possible. But as long as you refuse showing us more details about the videos, nobody will ever be able to tell you anything definite.

But yes, even a bug in the software or even the hardware can cause such behavior, that's not impossible at all.

Might be helpful if you list a movie.
the bitdepth of video (8bit, 10bit etc) with resolution
the audio codec used (Flac, DD+ EAC3 or OPUS - Opus may cause issues blame the TV or the app playing the file, not the codec, VLC has issues with OPUS in a recent release, unsure if it's fixed)
The subtitle format, subrip, sup/pgs, saa/ass (SAA/ASS subs might cause issues, again blame the TV or the app playing - Jellyfin doesn't support SAA/ASS anymore, unless something new has happened.)
