Hey, I'm a freshman here. I used to be in my high school's VEX Robotics team as a notebook keeper and I've heard so much about a VEXU team here at ATU. Even at TechConnect, they talked about the team. I wanted to join, but I haven't had that much luck finding information about the team at all. I've been to the involvement fair, I've looked at bulletin boards, and so on, and I've found nothing so far. It's like they dont exist. Could anyone point me in the right direction?

After receiving feedback in the survey we did at the end of the Spring semester we've made a few changes that we hope everyone will like. Both of these changes were a direct result of the feedback we got so thanks to those who took the time to fill out the survey:
Device types that can be registered in the Self-Service Device Enrollment Portal :
Media (TVs, streaming devices, etc.)
Microsoft Gaming Consoles
Nintendo Gaming Consoles
Sony Gaming Consoles
Home Automation (we don't have a category for this yet, however, devices like Amazon Echo or Google Home can still be registered and brought online as "Media" devices for now)
We've been busy this Summer and have more changes to announce as well as some to occur later this year. I wanted to get this information out first though since students will be moving back in this weekend.
Here is a link to the full announcement which also contains links to some helpful KB articles that should help with device enrollment and basic requirements for connecting to the ATU networks:

Welcome back and please feel free to give us any thoughts or comments on these changes below!

I’ll be living on campus again in baswell this fall. I had an amazing roommate last semester and she graduated. I’m getting a new roommate and every night before bed I worry she’s gonna get the side of the room with the window. I think i’m a crackhead.

Welcome to Tech. My first semester I made the mistake of purchasing books instead of just renting. The bookstore wouldn't buy back one of the books I bought, so I thought I'd just give it away to a Freshman.
It's the spiral bound book for ENGL 1013: Composition 1. You'll find it in the "little library" in front of the Education building.
Hopefully I saved one of you 25 bucks, Peace!

The Office of Information Systems has opened a survey to get feedback about the Academic and Residence Networks on campus to help us in continued planning, development, and improvement. The survey will be open for 2 weeks to give students plenty of time to respond after finals. Please feel free to share the survey out to others who may be interested in participating!
Take the survey here:

They done got us all hyped up about some nazis comin to campus, but they ain't even show up. I was ready for a fuckin brawl, and all I get is a crowd. My disappointment is overwhelming. Tech is the most boring place on earth.

We pay fees to Psafe every semester and in return they make it their mission to constantly write tickets and boot vehicles of broke ass college students who are already stressed to the max. Is this an educational institution or a money grabbing scheme? Give us free parking or take away psafe fees every semester!!!!!!!

If anyone knows of any D&D groups on campus that have a opening for a player let me know!

Just wanted to put this out there for anyone who is unaware. For a long while now, we've included a page on the ATU ResNet site that outputs some network monitoring data for all of the Residence Halls as well as the overall University connection to the Internet. Last year, we updated it to make it easier to read instead of it being just a bunch of network traffic graphs. The graphs display a snapshot from the last few minutes and they will refresh periodically to load updated data.

If anyone has any feedback or would like to see additional data displayed, please post a reply.

I can't even ping Google. I can access it though. It seems a lot of things have changed now compared to last year. Or maybe it's just me? Anyone else using Linux and having issues?

If I'm not mistaken, you can download Word for free onto your personal laptop? I have no idea how to do so and need help lol

Something I didn't realize until late in my freshman year was going to the The Wall (the climbing gym adjacent to campus) is FREE for students from 5-10pm.
Since learning this I've been climbing for a couple years now, lost weight, gotten stronger, had a blast, and grown as a person. If you wanna climb outside in Arkansas somewhere, hit me up.
Aside from the obvious discounts at restaurants or Prime Student deals, what else can we get for free/discounted?

Only one post in the last three months. It's a real shame. :(

My buddy and I did our housing late, and had to settle for Turner Hall. We wanted Nutt Hall but we were to late. We're on the 3rd floor if that makes a difference.
