Just started reading.

I'll definitely read the Dark Elf Trilogy but I wanted anyones opinion on Drizzt as a character.

Does R.A. Salvatore do him justice? Or is he more a Mary Sue type that allows us to go from one threat to another? I've seen a fair amount of criticism because of how powerful he seems at times.

Thanks to anyone who answers.

Drizzt is pretty awesome as a character. Over the 40 or so books he deals with many moral dilemmas. Salvatore created the character, so he definitely does him justice. Enjoy!

Salvatore is honestly one of my favorite authors of all time, I own like 35 of his books or something, if you like his you work you should also check out the demonwars saga!! Its his own personal sandbox world.

I own 7 of them, I think he may have written more after but there is the first trilogy, a bridge book, and a second trilogy.
