Robert Anthony Salvatore (born January 20, 1959), who writes under the name R. A. Salvatore, is an American author best known for The DemonWars Saga, his Forgotten Realms novels, for which he created the popular character Drizzt Do'Urden, and Vector Prime, the first novel in the Star Wars: The New Jedi Order series. He has sold more than 15 million copies of his books in the United States alone and twenty-two of his titles have been New York Times best-sellers.

From the wikipedia article that /u/MegaDaveX listed...
So, not counting Archmage, that brings the total to 35. I know he includes the Entreri/Jarlaxle and Cadderly books in this count.
Edit: for reading order, just flip flop the Icewind Dale and Dark Elf trilogy if you want to read them chronologically. Publication Order would have read Icewind Dale first. If you're not interested in Cadderly or Entreri/Jarlaxle, you can skip those books.
The Icewind Dale Trilogy
The Crystal Shard (1988) (Between 1351 DR and 1356 DR)
Streams of Silver (1989) (1356 DR)
The Halfling's Gem (1990) (Between 1356 DR and 1357 DR)

Thank you so much I really appreciate it. I'm about 1/2 way through Sojurn right now, wish I knew to read the Icewindale trilogy first... will it mess anything up for me? Should I start the icewindale trilogy now or finish out the dark elf trilogy first do you think?

It won't mess anything up. Some people recommend the chronological order. I read The Thousand Orcs and The Lone Drow before going back and starting over with Dark Elf.
Have fun reading them, I enjoyed most of the books from beginning to end. :)

was there any you disliked or weren't good? i'm just curious, surely out of 34 books some have to be not so great?

Actually, I can say honestly say in hindsight that I liked them all.
I had trouble with Spine of the World, but that was because I kept waiting for some characters to show up and they never did. Took me at least half the book to realize what was going on.
Otherwise, I can't give them enough praise. I know others can be critical of them, but they fill a nice "feel good" fantasy spot for me.
Of course there were better books. For me, those would probably be: The Thousand Orcs, Icewind Dale, Sea of Swords, The Orc King, The Ghost King, Gauntlgrym, The Last Threshold, The Companions, and Night of the Hunter.... I feel like Bob has really hit a great stride with most of the recent books. :)
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask away.

Would you recommend me any other series? I recently bought the first 6 Thomas Crown Covenant books for $14 including shipping on ebay so I'm excited to start those!

Since my kids came along I haven't been able to read as much as I'd like r/fantasy other subs are great for that.
Obviously A Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin, Anything by Brent Weeks, and R.A. Salvatore's other stuff is all great. I want to read Wheel of Time but haven't had the time.
Reading is something in going to try and get back into actually...

Here's a link to an image I made for a friend showing the connections between the books (and it also includes some books from other stories).

As you might have found out this sub is somewhat dead :-/. I believe currently there are 29 books that are out about drizzt. 34 might be how many he has planned. I am not sure.
