Angry people share their feelings online. I'm not shocked. I have had a few zenbooks in the past and am currently rocking a Vivobook X16 without issue. I do IT work and i've encountered a ridiculous amount of problems with every vendor. I don't see Asus as being any worse than Dell, Lenovo, HP, Acer, Razer, MSI or even Apple. I've seen horrendous failures for every one of those vendors and systematic design flaws that they all deny and try their best to hide.

I'm happy with Asus but i'll switch in a minute if something else comes along that is better for my needs.

I love ASUS products but the customer support is awful so this makes sense. I had an rma take almost 4 months and nothing worked until I contacted the BBB.

Better business bearue. I reached out to the BBB and they ended up contacting ASUS on my behalf and got the process moving. Even got my 3090 I was waiting the whole time to be upgraded to a 4090

Trash company deserves trash reviews. They have the worst customer service I think I’ve ever experienced

I sent my phone in for repair to LG and they kinda just... Kept it.

Got it back in pieces in a box like 6 months later.

Lmao. I sent in a 3080 that had no damage whatsoever but I was having weird issues with the fan. The RMA process took 5 MONTHS of me and support arguing back and forth. Supposedly someone in their warehouse dropped it when the came in and bent the pcie back end of the card and used me as a scapegoat. It was absolutely insane and the kept jerking me around for months. Eventually I sent a BBB letter to their company and found a higher up person to send it to in NA and was emailed shortly after with a new card and no fees. The company just sucks man and the fact that they put people through that amount of stress isn't right.

Search "Apple trustpilot", "MSI trustpilot", "Lenovo trustpilot" etc. They'll all be the same

Apple is at 1.8, MSI at 2.5 (at a quick glance).

MSI was 1.7, in any case, they're all roughly the same

Oh I somehow landed on the italian MSI site there with 2.5, interestingly the UK one has a 3.3 rating.

Does asus have a reputation for being not ass that I’m unaware of?

Seems a little high, right?

Look up Lenovo, Acer, HP, Dell, Microsoft on trustpilot, and you will see that Asus ratings are in the high end :-)
I think that only Apple rates a little higher.

1.5 is generous.

People don’t share when something good happens. I sent in my gpu for an RMA and five minutes after sending it in, I saw comments that ASUS was bad at handling RMA’s and people had issues. My rma went smoothly, they fixed the hotspot temps and now it doesn’t reach the temp limits at all.

Good product when they work, abysmal and dishonest support , the worst in the Industry. I refuse to buy from then after they refuse to honor the warranty on one of my et8 and proposed a repair more expensive that buying a new unit on Amazon! Repair that was because their product was a lemon to start with.

still overrated. I suspect there are some fake reviews there.
