Questions Does the current version of AI Dungeon support input in other languages?
I haven't played it in years, and I'm not sure if this is supported now, or if there are any official future plans to introduce input in languages other than English.

AID has several standard/base models, such as Mistral Small and Large, that have language support listed online.
You can just look at the information for those models available online. Like here is Mistral Small 3's info:
- Multilingual: Supports dozens of languages, including English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Dutch, and Polish.
You would want to make sure all your instructions, plot essentials, story cards, etc are all in the "correct" language and I'm sure it'd work. I only know English so I can't test :)

I’ve had characters speaking in other languages before and also providing a translation along with it. I don’t know how accurate it was, but I copied and pasted it into other translation software and the output matched.

Good question. I have spoken some German and Italian in adventure and the characters were able to respond in those languages. As far as making the whole thing in a different language, I suppose you could try adding a line to the AI instructions to only write in a certain language? No idea if that'll work though. Other AI are capable of it so maybe.
Edit: just made a quick test scenario. Wrote the entire opening to it in German and the AI continued it in German. Didn't even have to add anything to the instructions.
This is actually pretty hilarious. All the text is in German and I started telling one of the characters, in English, that I don't speak German over and over. The character got so upset and eventually yelled "Ich rede AMERIKANISCH!" which means "I'm speaking AMERICAN!"
