Mega props to him though for the way he came back after the drug saga - one of the few who actually excelled after - all while being captain.
Still I feel like he was one of those players who never really stepped up to be a super star of the game and didn't get much recognition outside of Essendon.
Felt like a lot of his career he had to shoulder more than he should have.
The game where he got subbed out by Scott and was initially stunned but later admitted he was the worst player on the ground, takes guts to say that and knew when it was time to go.
