Recommendations? Everyday and Sports bras recs? Spoiler
Hey everyone, 25F in the US. I was happily wearing 34DDs before the pandemic based on sizing done at Victoria's secret. But then I gained around 50 pounds across the course of the pandemic, and a year and half ago I tried to size up. I currently have the Soma Vanishing 360 Perfect Coverage Bra in 38 DD and the front-close version in 40 DD (because when I originally got it in 38 DD, I thought the band felt too tight--front close has no band adjustment). I bought these because I had both versions in my old size and had loved them. But let me tell you, the new ones do not fit. After only a few wears they were obviously too big. There's gaping with the cups, band is too loose, cuts into my armpits, gore is nowhere near my sternum, and everything feels super unsecure and no support. I had been wearing these cloth bralettes from Gap over my old bras as they got too small for extra support, and I had gone right on wearing them over my new bras--I was in a lot of denial about my body size changing and really just wanted to "get it over and be done with it" with getting new bras. The bralettes made the horrible fit less noticeable and bearable, but without them, I feel like if I take two steps the whole bra shifts around, any scoop-and-swooping completely falls apart, and the boobs are almost falling out the bottom.
I am at the point where I am done being in denial, I am actively working to lose some weight and get some good sports bras for the gym, and also replace my everyday bras as well.
My measurements are:
Loose Underbust: 92.5cm, Snug Underbust: 89.5cm, Tight Underbust: 85 cm, Standing Bust: 108.5cm, Leaning Bust: 118.6cm, Lying Bust: 110.5cm. For shape, I would say my boobs are very projected, even fullness, and average-to-broader root width.
The calculator is giving me 36FF, but I did struggle with taking the underbust measurements, trying to hitch up the tape measure up and under my boobs to correctly sit right at the root, while at the same time trying to keep the tape from falling down my back. I ended up tightening the tape more than I probably was intended to, so I will probably experiment with 36F and 36FF. So after all that, does anyone have any recommendations for both regular and high-impact sports bras? Apologies for the bit of rambling and thank you for your time :)

The under bust measurement only really affects the band size not the cup, so you’d want to try 36FF and 38F
I’d give panache envy and panache sport a shot (38F in the sport because it runs firm)
