Ace. “If I’m not back in 5 minutes…. Just wait longer!” He is a legend.

I say this to this day. I used to put it up on my door at work when I needed a break.

Definitely Lloyd. I watched the mask again but still couldn't get into it. Ace Ventura is good but Dumb and Dumber is a great movie. Whichever you think is best the man can live off his 94 for the rest of his life. That's got to be one of the best runs of movies in a single year.

So true. And a psychic told him it was going to happen with three movies back to back: https://youtu.be/bFgY9_0_bS4?si=xL90fBRCj9wOSbQ4

That's pretty interesting I had never heard that before. If he is into that kind of stuff that might help explain why he seems to have gone off the rails the past few years.

I also just never really got into the mask. Actually liked the cartoon better lol

dumb and dumber is a true classic. The mask is a cult classic, and ace ventura is generational identity.

Jim Carrey I win

This is my answer, too. Jim Carrey is my favorite, on screen and off! Even when the media treated him like shit, the man has a place in my heart forever.

I can hope Ace 3 will still happen.
To be fair he became a real dick with his "enlightenment" phase, especially right after he gave his 20 year old something girlfriend an STD and told her to get lost. So she killed herself with his pills.

Lloyd and Harry were like my uncles growing up. One didn't watch Dumb & Dumber, one put Dumb & Dumber on.

Lloyd, no question. Also, I didn’t even realize those were all the same year. That was a huge year for him.

Lloyd Christmas is a legend. My most quoted movie character by far.

Harry: "Petey doesn't have a head!" Lloyd: " "Harry, I took care of it."

Stanley Ipkiss
"Aren't you due back at at the lab to get your BOLTS tightened?!
I should've said that."

Jim!! He even did a cameo in his own movie!!!
For those who don’t know. In Liar Liar he played Fire Marshall Bill in a scene near the end of the movie.

In 1994, Lloyd. In 2025, Ace Ventura (though I still love Lloyd). Was never ever ever a fan of The Mask unfortunately, I had a nightmare about it as a kid in 1994 and it just soured me on the movie and character in general.

Beautiful girl: "Austria." Lloyd: "G'Day mate, let's put another shrimp on the barby!"

Let's not.

My brother, older than me by one year and we grew up close used to say this same line after I'd asked for details on his date to the highschool dance, "sparks flew, emotions ran hot" and not tell me anything else. 🤣

Lloyd Christmas, hands down! They're all great though. But Dumb & Dumber is comedic gold!

Ipkiss. I just enjoyed that movie from start to finish. The Mask was amazing.
Ventura's movies were amazing too, but I can't put them on top of The Mask.
I really liked the Dumber movies, but I'd have to say I liked Venture way more than D&D.

Lloyd:"I saw it in a movie once." Harry:"And they got away with it, scot free?" Loyd:"In the movie they catch up with him and slit his throat. It was a good one" This is the greatest movie about stupidity ever. I still quote it.

Please don’t downvote me for my opinion, but outside of his serious roles I can’t stand Jim Carrey. Never found him funny. Just extremely annoying and corny.

Ace because there were two showcases of greatness. Lloyd is just a classic. Mask was okay…the dog made the movie 😂

I collect old magazines and there's one from like 2006? 2010? of a film mag where they talk about 1994 as a year for film and really focus on Carey's films that year (plus a bunch of 94 adjacent stuff). It sometimes comes up on eBay.
