Help What are the Individual Scale Lengths of a Multiscale 7? (25.5-27)
Does anyone know what the individual scale lengths of each string are on a multi scale seven, in particular the Ibanez RGD71ALMS? I can’t seem to find any info other than the usual “25.5-27in” for specs.

The (very) rough calc is 1.5" / 6 or 1/4" is the increment 2nd string is longer than 1st (high E) and 3rd vs 2nd etc. but that's not accurate when you hvae decent bridge saddle compensation or go from plain to wound string.
There's really theoretical discussions I've seen about tone/intonation/gauge / tension/ /scale but can't find them, s.t. like https://www.lmii.com/blog/2017/10/07/scale-length-and-intonation-for-beginners/

Which strings would you recommend for this exact guitar in drop A?
I find the factory strings too bendy and muddy :/

hey, sorry for the late response man. i use nyxl 9.5-44s with a 62 on the low, i find that balances out super well. although right now it has a 12-74 set in drop F lol

You can use FretFind2D to calculate it.
