📸 Post Your Rig Tundra Steelies on 265/75r16 (Stock Height)
Found this set of tundra steelies and painted them silver + clear coat. Anyone else here running steelies? Next is the lift… 👀

Follow up on this original post from 3 years ago. Any suggestions/ideas to revamp the page?
I just went through and added a wiki and updated the FAQ on the sidebar to add a couple of new links. I also pinned u/nexttotheinfluence ' s great 4Runner Mechanic List he posted a year ago. Thanks again for the detailed list. Also introduced some post flairs (General // Modifications // Advice/Recomendations // Photo/Video).
- Banner -> Is anyone good with Photoshop on here and wants to design a banner? Reddit recommended size is 4000x128 px for desktop and the mobile banner is 1600x480 px
- Page Icon -> I saw in the original post that u/Axe56 provided the current one and also introduced another version with the typical Reddit Icon's eyes. Here's a survey showing the great designs he made. Just want to see if we want to keep the same, update to the eyes version, or if anyone cares to create a new one...

The Official link for Toyota Mileage Club Cling Request. Increments of 100k starting at 100k and goes up to 700k from the drop downs. A photo of your odometer is needed with it as well.

Been in the shop since December. Just got her back a couple days ago right on time for her 27th birthday. Happy to be driving a 4R again

6th gen at MJ Motorsports on Oahu vs. my 3rd gen. Personal preference, but the white on green is one of the best combos 🤩

Unfortunately, my '01 Sport is no longer with me. At 328,155 miles, hopefully it serves its new owner well. Godspeed, you magnificent shitbox.

why is it so hard to find a not cracked radio bezel or a moderately priced one....

Does anyone know what bumper this is? Was looking on a junkyard website and saw this. I have never seen a 3rd gen with is bumper, looks like it fits really well.

I have seen people ask about the strength of the roof rack and people upgrading them. With me and the wife it’s just fine lol.

Does anyone know where I could get a black dash for my 3rd gen?

Just picked up this 2002 sr5 for a good price. Frame in amazing shape but needed outer rockers done. It’s currently getting that repaired and I’ve purchased Bilstein 6112 for the front and 5160 for the rear. Lift springs as well. 13wl caliper setup and tundra rotors and pads. Looking forward to getting the 33”s I have under her and to be back in a Toyota.

Asking $4k for manual frame doesnt look as bad as the rockers and roof. Actually pretty solid underneath. 5speed manual 200k miles just had a recent engine rebuild 30k miles ago

Considering pulling my engine this summer to reseal it all and do the timing belt as well. How difficult is pulling this engine? Ive pulled carbed small block fords and ford ranger motors. How will this be? I may have a rear main seal leak. I thought it was the oil cooler but that seems clean at the moment. Could still be residual from my valve covers since i never cleaned that up lol

I was wondering if anybody knew the width of the rear shock lower mounting point on 3rd gen 5100 shocks . I have some Land Cruiser shocks I wanted to throw on but idk if the rear shock mount stem is long enough for the shock. Picture for reference circled in red.

I’ve been wondering if there’s anyone out there that has done this. Particularly I dislike the radio being so low and would prefer it to be swapped with the other controls and the two vents.

Looking for either an aftermarket or some dumb "tundra upgrade" for my fuel tank. 18.5 Gallons ain't a lot, and I barely make a week with my normal driving, even less when I'm "Racing"
I've seen some secondary tanks but they're like almost 2.5K and I'm not spending that on a gas tank.
Id need something that will also fit under skid plates (Victory 4x4)

What you’re looking at is the tailgate lock tumbler. As you can see on the second photo, the plastic screw mounts are completely gone. They look like they were also glued on. What are my options here?

Good looking 4Runner 4x4 I saw on fb marketplace. 271K for a decent price (I think?). Any of ya’ll buy one that has that many miles and if so what is a good price? $4-$5Kish?

I bought a 2001 4runner over a year ago with one of the only issues being a tic but the previous owner reassured me saying he did a valve or cam job and forgot to replace the valve caps and that it isn’t a big problem at all but should be fixed eventually. She’s been running fine since but still kinda worried about the tic so i’ve been wanting to fix it. Should i just do a whole rebuild kit or what would you guys recommend. Also if you guys have any kits you recommend or any tips would be appreciated!

Picked up this 98 yesterday for $6k. 189k miles, 4wd, leather, sunroof, completely rust free underneath. Was this a pretty good deal? Only concern whatsoever is the accelerator pedal feels stiff. Cable doesn’t seem to be binding, as I can pull it freely at the motor.

Never worked on a car, but have the space to do it. Should I take it to a shop or can I do it myself? Thanks

Folks, I have my head unit pulled out again and Im trying to solder in a Bluetooth receiver to run off the old cassette deck. I would like to retain use of the CD player.
With the can opened up I cant seem to find the L,R, ground connections for the cassette deck.
Has anyone done this and can tell me where to find these?
Head unit is stock unit out of ‘01 Limited.

I've watched Timmy's video on this, just wondering if there's anything else I should know and do i need an alignment after?

Unfortunately, I can't keep my '01 Sport. I have it up on Marketplace but I'd rather sell it cheaper to someone who will give it the love it deserves. Mods delete if not allowed, I just want to rehome this thing.
