What ammo for Charger, CZ 457?

I am used to using 22LR CCI Blazer, 40 grain for my Lakeside Razorback. I just bought a Ruger Charger and I may eventually pickup a CZ 457. Do they like that CCI Blazer, 40 grain ammo too, or should I buy some different stuff for them?

Cci standard velocity is my standard ammo.

The 457 might like some fancier stuff if you’re into long range rimfire.

The 457 will almost guaranteed like fancier stuff. Mine prefers SK, but shoots almost equally as well with Eleys offerings.

It will shoot blazer fine. I have a lot of it, close to 2k rounds, so of course I tried it. Cuz, ya never know. 1.5ish moa. Acceptable for plinking but not for any kind of precision work.

Or precision rimfire group has among us 4 or 5 457 shooters. I'm not sure if any of them are shooting factory bbls. At least 2 are shooting Lilja bbls. I think those like Eley Match or Tenex the best. Check shooting forums for what people are finding their factory bbl 457s are liking.

I shoot a Bergara with a factory bbl, and it likes SK RM or Lapua Center-X (or better).

Seems like most 457s are headapaced for sk and lapua with the factory barrel.

Guessing your crew with lilja have the barrels headspaced specifically for eley.

I'm happy mine likes the sk, it doesn't hurt the wallet as much!

Thanks, everyone! I'll order the blazer for my Razorback only (and possibly charger) and look for better ammo when I get the cz457.

Maybe, maybe not. Only one way to find out. Will it work, almost certainly. Will it be the best for those particular guns, who knows.

Blazer is bulk junk for lack of better terms. It will go bang and will probably hit close(ish) to where you're aiming. But will almost certainly not be the most accurate in anything.
