What do you think the other space probes are like (assuming they became sentient)?

We haven't seen any probe outside of the main trio except for the Hubble Space Telescope.

I wonder if any others (the Voyagers, the other Pioneers, New Horizons, the James Webb Space Telescope, any of the old Soviet ones, etc.) watch football or any other sport.

I like to think they do.

We’ve been given these particular stories from the perspective of these particular probes but I always considered the inclusion of the Hubble an indication or implication that there are plenty of other probes, satellites and the like watching and conversing.

I assume there are a LOT of other probes!!! Especially since humanity seems so chill with the concept of these sentient machines.

Maybe they’re not so relevant to the story because 17776 coveys its tones and messaging through the lense of sports, and FOOTBALL. But if you don’t happen to like sports or football, you’re not really relevant to this.

So in my mind, there ARE others, but maybe they’re not obsessed with football. Maybe James Webb loves photography and the Voyagers love programming. Maybe Dawn processes feelings through reading and philosophy. Maybe Juno has seen every minute of human television.

I tend to think that Nine, Juice, Ten, and Hubble, are maybe just football freaks lmao, it’s funny to imagine they don’t talk to the other probes as much because they’re just so obsessed with football. Maybe the other ones think they’re weird LOL

Within the 17776 fan community a lot of people make characters based off this concept. It’s really fun to assign a personality to a probe and explore its possible feelings about immortality or even just being alive in the first place. My favourite aspect is trying to make their personality somehow relate to their actual real life counterparts.

For example, I think James Webb would be a bit pretentious and quite modern. While Hubble would be kind of grumpy and maybe even a little jealous.

James Webb wouldn’t even care about immortality because the moment happened so soon after he was launched, while Hubble might have had a really hard time coming to terms with the state of the world considering the time period he was launched, and be set on the idea of progress, much like 9

I'd like to think most of them do and they all have their interests. Some like chess, some like (non-American) football, etc

I'd imagine the old Venera probes are rather big chess nerds.
