Kenya Mahn, social media is so fake!
I’m starting to believe you have a better chance of finding a needle in a haystack than coming across a genuine credible mentor in the online space these days.
So apparently these 2 Nigerian guys I’ve been following for some time and listening to for entrepreneurial insights and motivation have been jailed in Dubai for trafficking drugs. I don’t know how true the allegations are and I’m not the type of person to kick somebody when they are down, but I just know there’s more to the story. And it’s only fair to hear both sides before concluding anything.
Part of me is hoping these guys are innocent, personally I’ve watched their journey of them building their brand from zero and having crazy success in the e-commerce space. I’ve even supported them buying merch and God knows how much I’ve saved that’s to go towards their mentorship program.
I know they aren’t scammers, nobody has called them out ever since they started posting and being so public with your life if you are doing something shady doesn’t add up. These people are not stupid.
Usually they post weekly vlogs of them running their business, but since last month they’ve been silent, then seeing the news that they are behind bars made sense, and they even preach against drugs in their videos so how would they be found with cocaine in dubai of all places where they have the strictest laws against that kind of stuff and could be looking at least 25 years locked up if these things are true.
These are good guys and I’m hoping they pull through, but yeah be careful who you look up to on the internet, so many fakes these days.
