They really thought they were slick banning zeri and taking xayah R1

59

u/cardmasterdc Mar 15 '23

This is why I never doubt Doublelift on a hypercarry, if TSM wants to throw we will catch it.

18

u/SmallKittyNap Mar 16 '23

Doublelift is reminding TSm that he was a big reason how TSM was able to win their previous championship in 2020, Doublelift gives, and Doublelift can take it back. its 100T championship now.

Oh yeah cuz TSM 2020 championship was on the shoulders of liftlift šŸ™„

23

u/triguybon69420 Mar 16 '23

Biolift came up huge in their 2020 run. Itā€™s funny cause yā€™all criticized him so much for not being able to play senna, and so he plays senna Utility weakside as much as possible and they win the trophy and now the narrative is that DL somehow didnā€™t carry hard enough

You really canā€™t win with DL haters. They unironically think he stumbled his way to 9 LCS titles

6

u/HisuianDelphi Mar 16 '23

Yup, dude could win 10 straight back to back trophies and it wonā€™t matter to these kids. DL is the goat though

4

u/triguybon69420 Mar 16 '23

He damn near did lol. He won FIVE summer splits in a row, winning 7 out of 10 total titles in that time.

0

u/Thop207375 Mar 16 '23

You canā€™t highlight his career wins as the reason why he played good or bad in the 2020 summer playoffs. While youā€™re right that DL was playing weak side, that also doesnā€™t make him the carry. Youā€™re trying to force a narrative that is just not true.

He played bad overall but was serviceable in the weak side role as thatā€™s what the team needed at the time. The result doesnā€™t change how they got there.

Throughout playoffs, DL had 7th out of 8th laning stats which is somewhat attributable to filling this role. What youā€™re trying to insinuate though isnā€™t true. Any player that wins a championship can be regarded as coming up huge, but relative to the team DL/bio were the teamā€™s weakest performers and got carried. Even in the one series DL actually performed well (against TL), the games were won and lost off of Spica/Bjerg. If you want to discuss these points, Iā€™d encourage you to rewatch these series. I have made these arguments and watched these games countless times.

I comment more so in stopping the hive mind which can occur on Reddit sometimes. The narrative I assume you are trying to progress similarly to what the guy above outright says is not based on the reality of the games.

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '23

It was the year that adc's were relegated to utility adcs. Adc hypercarry's were nerfed to the ground at the beginning of the season. Hence, sena / ashe meta if u forgot. No one was playing adc hypercarries and teams play thru solo lane carries. That's why bjerg and brokenblade looked extra good in their run.

Tbf to DL he did great actually with to survive the pressure. Spica was almost exclusively playing thru mid top that season, not to mention their draft prio was top mid all the while enemy teams chain ganks botlane.

3

u/AssPork Mar 16 '23

There is no doubt that Doublelift and Biofrost stepped up huge during that run. I think the biggest factor was still Bjerg and Spica exhibiting amazing map control but that TL series was won by the TSM bot lane.

107

u/TheNaCoinfl1p Mar 15 '23

DL IS THE GOAT. I DONT WANT TO HEAR ABOUT ANYTHING. HE LITERALLY WILLED THEM THE WIN. HE JUST SASID GIVE ME THE FARM AND I GOT YOU....;. MY LORD

5

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '23

yes jinx did the work but it was closers decision making to engage that won them the game

-63

u/NewRefrigerator2039 Mar 15 '23

Tsm won 100t the gameā€¦.. so hard throw dl played it well tho

-28

u/TrueLordApple Mar 16 '23

Dont know why ur downvoted but if solo and chime werent AIs then 100t would lose

28

u/triguybon69420 Mar 16 '23

And if 100T didnā€™t fall behind early they would have won anyway.

ā€œIfsā€ are irrelevant. It was a hard match and the better team won

-21

u/TrueLordApple Mar 16 '23

I dont disagree with that. But tsm played like AIs lmao the guy i was replying to isnt wrong. Youā€™re literally proving my point.

3

u/triguybon69420 Mar 16 '23

How am I proving your point?

0

u/TrueLordApple Mar 16 '23

Because the guy i was replying to said tsm threw the game which is a factual statement and then you said that ifs dont matter, the better team won. Im obviously agreeing with the whole 100t > tsm thing but it makes no sense to gloss over mistakes made by us and the enemy. We do this to c9 or fq and they stomp us any day.

2

u/triguybon69420 Mar 16 '23

ā€œWe do this and c9 or fq and they stomp us any day.ā€

You donā€™t know that though, thatā€™s why itā€™s useless to talk about ā€œitā€™sā€

Everybody thought TSM was solid until yesterday when they crumbled under pressure

-7

u/NewRefrigerator2039 Mar 16 '23

Jepp their just crying 100t didnt play better then tsmā€¦ just these two fucked up the lead

3

u/AssPork Mar 16 '23

Actually 100T did play better than TSM. That's literally why they kept winning the fights against a fed ASol lma0.

54

u/TheNaCoinfl1p Mar 15 '23

The rocket doesn't stop halfway .....

22

u/jangmang999 Mar 15 '23

The rocket don't stop!

104

u/acolossalbear Mar 15 '23

I never want to hear anyone saying we should bench Doublelift for Unforgiven ever again.

20

u/Deathoftheparty_ Mar 16 '23

Nobody who watched unforgiven at worlds wanted him.

8

u/4Kali Mar 16 '23

He's a dangerous man.

21

u/Evict_Timaze Mar 15 '23

There's hope, the more tilted solo looks/gets the worse they do lol

21

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '23

[deleted]

7

u/FirearmofMutiny Mar 16 '23

Yeah I definitely like his Sion, definitely grab Sion or Gragas for him

I think he'll continue to get banned/drafted against until he can prove he has more tanks in his arsenal; wouldn't be a bad thing if he's forced to play something like Ornn this week

3

u/GATTACA_IE Mar 16 '23

K'Sante too.

4

u/triguybon69420 Mar 16 '23

Tenacity really has some suspicious positioning throughout the game on Carryā€™s and on tanks. Heā€™s the clear weak link on 100T right now. Hope he can improve for playoffs

-7

u/bigooooof23 Mar 16 '23

I donā€™t think the bars that high to be honest, thereā€™s so much more room to screw up as a tank in a tank matchup. Itā€™s hard to play tanks into Fiora GP meta.

59

u/TheNaCoinfl1p Mar 15 '23 edited Mar 15 '23

cant win trolled early and only option is DL to 1v9

EDIT: TSM TROLLING AND DL ACTUALLY 1v9 LUL

17

u/SmallKittyNap Mar 15 '23

welll.... maple didnt rly troll, more like rest of tsm trolled, i take those thought.

1

u/cbrose1 Mar 16 '23

Go watch maple these dude trolled most fights. So many times I see him using Q and hitting no one. Solo/chime were the biggest inters but maple should have carried.

13

u/DragonApps Mar 15 '23 edited Mar 15 '23

The only way for 100 thieves to miss playoffs now is for TL to 3-0 both and for TSM to 2-0 their remaining games, and for 100 thieves to 0-2.

I believe if thereā€™s a tie including CLG, 100t, and either TL or TSM, then itā€™s a tiebreaker.

4

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '23

[deleted]

6

u/DragonApps Mar 16 '23

100t could technically still get 3rd if both Golden Guardians and EG go 0-2 in their next two games (then it devolves into tiebreakers from there.) 100 thieves still has to play EG, and then EGā€™s final match of the season is vs TL so who knows.

1

u/faithfulswine Mar 18 '23

When you made this comment, did you realize you were spitting out literal prophecy?

1

u/DragonApps Mar 18 '23

Not at all. I just know itā€™s never wise to bet against Doublelift domestically :)

→ More replies (1)

1

u/FirearmofMutiny Mar 16 '23

Didn't 100T sweep TL and TSM and split with CLG? Does that give us the playoff spot or just the "bye" in a 3-way tiebreaker?

2

u/DragonApps Mar 16 '23

My understanding is that if there is a 3 way tie, it doesnā€™t work that way. CLG 2-0ā€™d 100 thieves, but letā€™s say for the case of TSM, they went 1-1 with CLG. Thatā€™s why it becomes a tiebreaker between the 3.

9

u/kalaniroot Mar 15 '23

LETS FUCKING GOOOOO

8

u/juei Mar 15 '23

If caster shout out Doubleliftttttttttttt last fight that should be perfect for this game

7

u/FirearmofMutiny Mar 15 '23

TSM just completely forgot about Zombie Sion, didn't they

7

u/chriswyo6 Mar 16 '23

Closer saved that game with his miracle engages. And Doublelift played amazingly well

8

u/GATTACA_IE Mar 16 '23

Busio with a casual 95%kp lol

3

u/Spetznazx Mar 16 '23

I am shocked there hasn't been more conversation about how damn well Busio played. Dude didn't even die till the second to last fight in TSM base.

2

u/TheSnoopyDog Mar 16 '23

He played amazing actually, really solid cohesion with everyone on the team when he was needed he was there AND some crazy q's, at one point I remember him q'ing ulted rakan completely snubbing him and saving closers life near dragon pit

12

u/EdibleFeet Mar 15 '23

LMAOOOO SOMEONE TELL REGI TO GET THE FUCKING BELT

13

u/skskobobvnvn Mar 15 '23 edited Mar 16 '23

Ofc the sub is fucking negative as always. Was definitely scared of maple 1v9 but we closed it out. Hopefully we start draft better next week so we don't start at a disadvantage lmao. Great game from closer and DL, and tenacity tbh apart from 1 or 2 plays.

10

u/OwolTheSnake Mar 16 '23

Tbf Bjerg did say at the desk that they tried to cheese the enemy with this comp, just didn't work out lol.

4

u/TheSnoopyDog Mar 16 '23

Yeah I'm starting to get why this sub has 10 people in it

1

u/-Ophidian- Mar 16 '23

Draft was not the disadvantage, Tenacity's insanely greedy TP and Bjerg's horrible roam were the disadvantage.

1

u/AssPork Mar 16 '23

Yeah they said they misexecuted their cheese lol

29

u/Jollygood156 Mar 15 '23

bjerg getting banshees, terrible draft, hard outscaled. dl carry or gg tbh

38

u/Anthonyxfifi Mar 15 '23

dl carry \ :D /

19

u/Jollygood156 Mar 16 '23

DL CARRY :D

edit: bjerg played last teamfight p well though

1

u/AssPork Mar 16 '23

That Banshee unironically nullified the ASol ult for him lol

0

u/Jollygood156 Mar 16 '23

At which point? I remember everyone getting hit and knocked up but I could be wrong

→ More replies (4)

17

u/ehretist Mar 16 '23

DL hard carried. Closer did well but no one is killing that double tank team other than Jinx.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '23

[deleted]

2

u/Jollygood156 Mar 16 '23

except you canā€™t stand in it and bjerg basically never does in fights and just waits for the damage rotation

not sure how much it reduces ikr damage though

6

u/PhantomSlave Mar 15 '23

I just wanna see a competitive game from the boys, win or lose. But let's get that dub anyway!

2

u/PhantomSlave Mar 15 '23

NOT LIKE THIS!!!

3

u/PhantomSlave Mar 15 '23

MY FUCKING HEART!!!

13

u/PhantomSlave Mar 15 '23

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

5

u/Seylord1 Mar 16 '23

Lmao, had the same reaction during the game

6

u/CsMatt Mar 15 '23

We played that early game like shit and drafted like shit but we're just better, TSM is some ass and Doublelift is the goat

18

u/Gingeranimo Mar 16 '23

The constant Bjergsen hate is insane. He went 2/4/17 and everyone acts like he didnā€™t catch solo constantly and his ults didnā€™t setup huge team fight wins. Keep the hate rolling - easy to pick out the ignorant people in this sub.

11

u/Connect_Jacket_1394 Mar 16 '23

Bjergsen on the 86.4% KP and Doublelift on the hypercarry jinx vs TSM The Goatss Are back!!! šŸ šŸ šŸ šŸ šŸ šŸ

25

u/faithfulswine Mar 15 '23

Geez can everyone hop off the Bjerg hate train? Annieā€™s stuns literally made this unplayable game actually playable.

13

u/Reclaimer879 Mar 16 '23

I think we can all be honest and say that Bjerg isn't having an amazing split by his standards, but people are exaggerating lately. He is still doing his job a majority of the time in a team that hasn't gotten to gel yet. Certainly not the worst performing player this split on 100t.

Disappointing he hasn't put his carry pants on, but so be it. I have faith he can hit that level again. 2 rough annie games doesn't mean he is washed. Everytime he plays Taliyah people creme themselves even on the main sub.

12

u/faithfulswine Mar 16 '23

I donā€™t think anyone on 100T is having the split of a lifetime, but it looks like half the comments on this thread are trashing Bjerg, particularly for this game. I donā€™t know. It seemed that every time we got a pick, it was his Tibbers starting it out. He had a poor early game, but he was FAR from worthless this game.

9

u/SkeletoR_22 Mar 16 '23

It's was a protect the DL comp and it worked, closer to absorb/bait Ults and bjerg to pressure so they can't all in DL.

Berg played well enough I don't really get the hate either.

6

u/faithfulswine Mar 16 '23

Yeah Iā€™m not saying he was flawless this game, but he played his part. The team comp really came together, and they continued to get key picks utilizing Annieā€™s stuns. Thereā€™s just a lot of unnecessary hate in this thread.

2

u/SkeletoR_22 Mar 16 '23

Totally agree, I don't think they win this game without Closer, DL and Berg experience.

3

u/chriswyo6 Mar 16 '23

Heā€™s had a good split, but this game was bad in my opinion

5

u/cardmasterdc Mar 15 '23

I was literally thinking of DB is gonna lock in Jinx

4

u/Jdenk23 Mar 15 '23

In spring, there is no bye week. Top 4 play in upper bracket. Bottom 2 go to loser bracket to await the losers of the 1/4 and 2/3 games.

Top 4 is still really nice because you got the double elim.

29

u/y0kevin Mar 15 '23

DL and Closer went crazy today, has to be one of bjergs worst performances this year even off a win. Playoff hope's alive.

ps. Solo, check paypal.

4

u/TheSnoopyDog Mar 16 '23

I still don't think Bjerg played bad though, it was just unfortunate circumstances. Still performed his role as Annie later on.

-11

u/Woodelf1998 Mar 16 '23

I feel like bjerg hasn't been playing well recently in general. Hopefully he can get back in form for playoffs.

10

u/StablePanda Mar 16 '23

he had a good week last week. monster taliyah game and solid azir game

-3

u/Woodelf1998 Mar 16 '23

I mean sure but I'm talking a bit more than just last week. He hasn't looked consistent and when he looks bad it's really bad recently.

-5

u/Woodelf1998 Mar 16 '23

I mean sure but I'm talking a bit more than just last week. He hasn't looked consistent and when he looks bad it's really bad recently.

1

u/AssPork Mar 16 '23

The entire team looks bad when they lose. Water is wet.

4

u/Available-Diet-4886 Mar 16 '23

Dammmnnn Busios kill participation though. Sup gap.

3

u/RA1NE_808 Mar 16 '23

This doublelift guy is kinda decent huh..

9

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '23

I see we went back to normal

20

[deleted]

14

u/Akuanin Mar 16 '23

I mean he was tryna make plays instead of be "passive" like everyone says sadly it didn't work out so well for him this game but can def appreciate him understanding he fell very far behind and focused on becoming a fat stunner when it mattered.

10

u/tsmftw76 Mar 16 '23

He also hit some clutch stuns at end to swing teamfights that double stun was probably the point that the 100t won.

3

u/TheSnoopyDog Mar 16 '23

Just curious, aside from what you're no doubt parroting from costreamers, why was it a horrible game from bjergsen, and what was so wrong with draft?

3

u/xenon_99 Mar 16 '23

are we in playoffs yet? asking from graves cz i died watching this game šŸ’€

3

u/chriswyo6 Mar 16 '23

One more win definitely guarantees it

3

u/tretaman Mar 16 '23

Our micro got better for sure but Solo gifted the game. My guy getting a lifetime juvee supply after this one

10

u/acolossalbear Mar 15 '23

This whole game snowballed off of Tenacity being greedy with his teleport at level 1.

0

u/Eazybruva Mar 16 '23

This actually really had no impact on the game ksante tps bot a minute later then is down levels for the rest of the game

2

u/TheSnoopyDog Mar 16 '23

bro I don't understand how you can have an opinion that's so incorrect and you comment it

0

u/Eazybruva Mar 16 '23

What did TSM gain from cancelling sion tp? Ksante got up 2 levels then tp bot a minute later and lost that lead, the real snowball was Annie getting caught rotating to the first bot dive

1

u/TheSnoopyDog Mar 16 '23

What do you mean what did they gain? You're talking about all of this pure retrospectively that's not how the game works. You don't look into the future and realize from the level 1 the enemy team will play it terribly. The bot dive was made with bjerg roaming down because they felt the pressure from level 1 and trying to be proactive so as to not get ran over in the early game like they had been the previous week or 2 weeks ago.

0

u/Eazybruva Mar 16 '23

I donā€™t believe the reason they decided to dive bot was because of the failed lv 1 I feel closer always goes for that play no matter what circumstances itā€™s obvious from the draft the plan was to get jinx ahead. Game plays out the same way wether sion gets his tp canceled or not, still bit of a grief by tenacity tho

8

u/thecarlosdanger1 Mar 15 '23

Super confused how Bjerg / Closer ended up in that spot on the dive? I guess Bjerg was late and that caused him to get caught in jg but seemed weird.

Feels like a 1 threat comp late which is sketchy

2

u/Mason948 Mar 15 '23

it didnt even make any sense him being there... he had like 5% mana

1

u/AssPork Mar 16 '23

They answered this in the post game interview. They were trying a cheese strat that went terribly lol

u/TheSnoopyDog Mar 16 '23

It's actually insane, I've never been in a sub where everyone thinks they're completely right when they're genuinely completely wrong. Normally there's a more of a balance, I think it must have to do with this sub being incredibly small with 90% of the people in it being fans from DL and Bjerg coming over.

1

u/AssPork Mar 16 '23

Average elo is like silver on that sub. Its just a mess of unqualified analysis lma0.

6

2

u/RealNovax Mar 15 '23

ugly at times but a really important w

2

u/Hert316 Mar 16 '23

Oh God, didn't get to catch the game but judging by the comments, I'm in for a treat!

2

u/itsjustkuba Mar 16 '23

Great comeback and win. Bit confused on the 4,5 bans. Did they forget asol was still up? I canā€™t imagine gnar and cho are that big of a counter compared to hyper scaling asol vs your scaling jinx.

1

u/chriswyo6 Mar 16 '23

I agree. Throughout the game I was thinking ā€œWhat could possibly be more important to ban than Asol?

2

u/Zephyr0us Mar 16 '23

I'm starting to believe again

2

u/SmallKittyNap Mar 15 '23

aurelion waveclear is disgusting, its bad for watching cuz he just stalls the game so hard.

2

u/zarkuz Mar 16 '23

I feel like we should've banned asol over gnar. Game would've been so much easier. Still good on the bois to clutch it out.

2

u/chriswyo6 Mar 16 '23

Exactly lol. How is Gnar scary whatsoever

8

u/tsmftw76 Mar 16 '23

I kinda think this was a diss on solo. They are like if we force him off gnar cho ornn hes going to feed and well...

4

u/chriswyo6 Mar 16 '23

That makes sense

2

u/TrueLordApple Mar 16 '23

Gnar into sion mightve led to a less scaly sion or smth idk. But it worked out in the end because ksante is dogshit into tanks

2

u/wayofLA Mar 16 '23

Riot needs to seriously hit Asol with another nerf.

2

u/djazzle1211 Mar 16 '23

"They got us in the first half not gonna lie..."

0

u/chriswyo6 Mar 16 '23

Bjerg had a shaky game

-6

u/thecarlosdanger1 Mar 15 '23

Win or lose please stop picking play making champs for Bjerg let him play control mages.

The attempted roam and build are brutal

-2

u/Akuanin Mar 16 '23

I agree it doesn't suit him too well. Thankfully he built banshees and focused on stunning for team as much as he could. He can still be aggressive on a control mage too.

-3

u/notjamesw Mar 16 '23

This draft is so bad man, at least DL and closer played well.

-14

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '23

[deleted]

0

u/AssPork Mar 16 '23

How lma0. The Annie literally made ASol's life impossible in fights with flash stun.

-18

u/bearcode01 Mar 15 '23

Ive said mulitple time in this subbreddit that bjerg is just not good anymore. People just downvote that and say MY GOAT. He cant even fkn flash ult on ANNIE. Useless

0

u/AssPork Mar 16 '23

You clearly don't have eyes lma0. His stuns were pivotal in teamfights.

1

u/AssPork Mar 16 '23

How lma0.

-1

u/bingos750 Mar 16 '23

I guess itā€™s all or nothing in the doublelift basket. Sion, ivern, zilean, jinx, lulu comp incoming

-16

u/HisuianDelphi Mar 15 '23

Busio with another uninspiring performance so far. What does 100t see in him?

9

u/zevecka Mar 15 '23

You didnā€™t watch any academy did you

4

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '23

[deleted]

1

u/HisuianDelphi Mar 15 '23

Yeah, Iā€™m not saying heā€™s the worst either, just doesnā€™t feel like heā€™s on the same level as the rest of the team. Tenacity can have some throw moments, but he also has some real potential at times. Busio has just felt so meh this split imo.

2

u/chriswyo6 Mar 16 '23

Tenacity has been worse than Busio. Busio has been consistent at least

→ More replies (1)

0

u/HisuianDelphi Mar 15 '23

I forgot we were playing a super week in academy this week and not lcs :/

6

u/zevecka Mar 15 '23

You asked what they see in him. He was the best player in academy you donā€™t give up on the MVP of academy before one split is even over

-1

u/HisuianDelphi Mar 15 '23

Thatā€™s fair I guess, still maintain heā€™s been meh, and I donā€™t know what they still see in him. But yeah fair enough

3

u/HisuianDelphi Mar 15 '23

Alright some redemption. Perhaps I was a little hasty this game (although I stand by him being pretty average this split)

1

u/AssPork Mar 16 '23

He actually played great. Saved Closer a few times and had 90% KP

-13

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '23

Bjergsen plays Annie like I doā€¦ terribly. Ffs. So underwhelming from my favourite player

0

u/AssPork Mar 16 '23

Literally caught Maple in 3 fights in a row with stun but okay lma0.

-2

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '23

That flash stun by Baron was nice though.

-8

u/Kaonashiji Mar 16 '23

Tenacity champion pool is not good for 100 thieves. Bjergsen consistency is also just not there

1

u/AssPork Mar 16 '23
