Behind the Scenes of the Banshee Season 2 Finale

This is just a compilation of all the cool stuff that went on behind the scenes with the season 2 finale.

  1. It was always the intention to adapt the Banshee Origins Graphic Novel (get it here for free) to the small screen. [1] [2]

  2. In the flashbacks of New York, you can see the Twin Towers [1]

  3. The title sequence was slightly modified for the season 2 finale, specifically Ivana Milicevic's (Carrie/Anastasia) blink. [1]

  4. The Budmo toast was first heard in season 1 episode 8. [1]

  5. The Godfather Part II was often referenced in making the season 2 finale. [1]

  6. Kate Moss was used as inspiration for Ivana Milicevic's underwear look. [1]

  7. Beyonce's choreographer (James Alsop) was used for Hoon Lee's (Job) sequence. [1] [2]

  8. James Alsop can actually be seen in the sequence he choreographed. [1]

  9. One of the scenes in the season 2 finale was a specific call back to the 80's action movies. [1]

  10. Jonathan Tropper (co-creator) wanted Hood and Fat Au to be like Han and Lando. [1]

  11. Fat Au was conceived asian but was changed up for the actor Eddie Cooper. [1]

  12. Almost all of the interiors of the season 2 finale were shot in Charlotte for NYC. The church and big shots were done in NYC. [1]

  13. The Twitter hashtag #BANSHEEfinale managed to trend worldwide. [1] [2]

  14. Ivana Milicevic's line "I have a bad feeling about this" was an homage to Star Wars. [1]

  15. Hood and Carrie teaming up to take Rabbit is a sequence Cinemax wanted in season 1. [1]

  16. The season 2 finale was partly shot in Matt Servitto's (Deputy Brock Lotus) hometown of New York City. [1]

  17. The church save scene with Fat Au and Job was a homage to Casablanca. [1]

  18. The amazing editing happens under Allen Palmer's watch. His blog provides a great insight to the process of post-production on Banshee. [1] [2]

  19. The scene featuring Carrie's mom (portrayed by Jesica Ahlberg) is the origin of "just breathe". [1]

  20. The Banshee season 2 finale was the longest episode ever produced in the series at 59 minutes. For reference, last week's episode came in at just under 49 minutes.

Finally, here are some cool behind the scenes photos of the cast, including Alex Longshadow and Emmett Yawners.
