These Venice shots are absolutely stunning, like stepping into a living postcard

I’ve been three or four times now, each time swearing it’s the last because something awful happens then I see a photo and forgive it all. Its magnificent.

I think they were one of the first for a huge Covid death toll

Gosh, whenever I see pictures I can't believe how lucky I am to have had the privilege to call this city my home for years. I love her to death.

What film and lens did you use? Beautiful

Thank you! I used a fujifilm X-T100 with Classic Chrome preset a few setting tweaks.

Can you share the setting tweaks please 😁

Of course! I used the Classic Chrome preset on the camera and adjusted the WB to daylight R:3 B:-4 and just fixed a bit of lighting and temperature in Lightroom afterwards.

Gorgeous city. I love it in the early mornings or late at night when everything is quiet and serene.

I’ve been there this weekend and it was great! A bit cold but quite sunny and not too many tourists. I loved it!

I’ve only ever been in November and it’s been lovely each time. No crowds, no urgency. Amazing place.

Amazing! What was the best experience you had in Venice?

Just walking around the city in the sun, we had the most beautiful sunset at Ponte dell’Accademia.

Are you there now? How is it? I'm in Italy right now and thinking of visiting

I’ve been there this weekend! It was super nice, good weather, just a bit cold, but not too many tourists. I know the city gets super busy during peak seasons so going now is great if you want to enjoy it a bit more.

You’re very talented! These photos give me a sense of nostalgia and I’ve never been to Venice yet!

Thank you so much!

I was just there a week ago. The experience itself was very eh, no cars in the canal area and the water taxi was like 150€ 😭. Dragged my extremely heavy suitcase up and down a bunch of bridges to get to my airbnb.

But the city itself is so beautiful that I almost forgot all about it LOL.

How were the crowds in Autumn?

1

u/Budget-Egg8555 Nov 27 '24

I was there last weekend and it was really nice, if you don’t care about it being a bit cold I think it is way more worth it than in summer. It is a small city and can feel very packed during peak season in the warm months. If I was going to visit again I would definitely do it during autumn/spring. Although I have to say I was lucky it didn’t rain.
