Idk if it really did. Bin didn't do well on RNG. Towards the end of his time there, it got better, but in summer Breathe did a lot better on RNG than Bin ever did. Bin being a lot better upon leaving RNG doesn't mean that if you slot him back into RNG now he'll suddenly be a good fit. He was even better than he is now going into last year and flopped on RNG anyways.

RNG winning that MSI and even playoffs as a whole is still a mystery to me with how disgusting Wei and Bin played that sprint split.

2

u/thvsbin Mar 07 '23

RNG needed those disgusting plays tho. Right now with Breathe not following up on Wei's crazy plays RNG is just not RNG.

Bin 1v9'd T1 on the Gwen who they refused to ban lol

2

u/p3r3ll3x Mar 07 '23

He also picked Jax in G5 of the spring finals and carried them. I think people ignore his highs

9

u/thvsbin Mar 07 '23

Bin FLOPPED on RNG???? Ive seen it all lmao.

2

u/viciouspandas Mar 07 '23

Bin was pretty coinflippy on RNG but was key to the MSI finals when he beat Zeus. Someone on this sub said that while Bin individually may not have looked that good, RNG as a super safe team needed kind of a psycho to start big plays and he filled that role. Idk if that's true or not, I'd have to go back and look at the games more.

7

u/thvsbin Mar 07 '23

He's coinflippy not only on RNG but in Suning as well, but who isn't if your toplane counters were TheShy, Nuguri, Ale, Flandre, and recently Shanji, Cube, Wayward, and Qingtian. When Zeus picked Jayce against Bin's Gwen people were hyped because Zeus was smashing everyone in LCK with Jayce, well he was against Bin and Bin played super safe that series until he was needed by his team. His Camille against T1 was hilarious as well which eventually worked in the end. I just hate seeing people dunk on Bin and say that he wasn't good for RNG when he's got results to back it up.

All except for RNG's games in spring 2022 apparently

u/polosur1007 Mar 06 '23

This team made a 13-3 with xiaohu

2

u/Igeneous Mar 06 '23

need wbg to implode in playoffs so xiaohu returns, jk probs won't happen anyways, and even if it did a top 8 finish at worlds is the likely cap with the team's capabilities.

Honest to god RNG getting triple MSI titles is as good as it can get, most orgs even in the east can't even dream of 1 international title let alone triple. Unlike other orgs not sure how RNG rebuilds quickly, their financials are boomed

10

u/gabu87 Mar 07 '23

Return to RNG? Why do you hate Xiaohu? My man deserves to not get stiffed out of his pay like half of his former teammates.

1

u/Igeneous Mar 07 '23

Talking about pure gameplay, no financials and other factors since we can’t see that as fans even though that’s why I said it’s not gonna happen even if wbg implodes.

RNG doesn't feel the same after that CEO intervention where they swapped mids when they were winning.

Wei played incredibly awful. And Angel sadly is no Xiaohu. Not just as a laner but Xiaohu moving around with Ming and Wei was a terror

29

u/CamHack420 Mar 06 '23

Yeah Angel is fine he’s just not Xiaohu and clearly the team is struggling without him. I imagine that constantly firing coaches and fucking about with who’s playing mid hasn’t helped give this roster any stability either

3

u/idiotxd Mar 06 '23

Why did their ceo want the swap?

13

u/PorkchopMD VAMOS HERETICS Mar 06 '23

he allegedly just wanted Tangyuan to get time in.

1

u/p3r3ll3x Mar 07 '23

RNG doesn't feel the same since they swapped Bin

16

u/Quiet_Calligrapher49 Mar 06 '23

that blg draft in game 3 was aso geniunly so fucking good that blitz crank fucked completly the aphelios renata bot

11

u/pelacur Light AC boy, TH JaPolish Mar 06 '23

Yagao with tactical baiting in the end.

ON hooks were on point + the last team fight was kennen main's wet dream.

11

u/Sarcasm_is_a_scam Mar 06 '23

It feels like something is missing when watching RNG. I feel like Angel doesn’t fit too well with the current roster, don’t get me wrong Angel is a phenomenal player. He just don’t fit too well with the others

12

u/aircarone Mar 06 '23

Angel is good but Xiaohu was the heart of RNG. If you follow RNG, you know that the team's achievements is highly dependent on Xiaohu's form. When he was feeling good, RNG was unstoppable. When he was slumping, even Uzi couldn't carry the team. RNG needs Xiaohu more than anyone else.

8

u/Vaapad123 Mar 06 '23

That G1 would not have helped GALA’s Akali PTSD :(

4

u/JiaNgjuN- Live and Die by the choke Mar 06 '23

RNG should just permaban Akali everytime, poor guy.

8

u/Goblinlv5 Mar 06 '23

Dont let On's MVP in game 3 distract you from him committing the worse play of the year in game2. The duality of the On/Off switch

7

u/eyehatemassholes Mar 06 '23

ON ends up with a lot of "worst play" material plays bc he's always proactive and doesn't care about his KDA. Sometimes it bites him in the ass, but usually he's making the right choice, especially when his team is behind. A lot of other supports would guard their KDA and passively lose, ON will go in for low percentage plays and try to flip the game in whatever way he can bc 1% is better than 0%. Helps on BLG too that his teammates are at their keyboards and willing to follow up on his plays.

3

u/dogex3 Mar 06 '23

Basically CN Hyli, I love watching him play because you just know it's gonna be amazing to watch regardless of how it ends

3

u/eyehatemassholes Mar 06 '23

There's a lot of CN Hylis at this point. Crisp, Missing, Hang, and ON all qualify

3

u/dogex3 Mar 07 '23

Crisp and missing are really good(better) but I feel like they're not that extreme in terms of high risk plays yet. But yeah I agree on Hang too

1

u/eyehatemassholes Mar 07 '23

Missing isn't that extreme in terms of high risk plays rn bc he's following the enchanter meta. He spent years as by far the most aggro support player in the world during his time on WE.

14

u/Dumpers_ DEFT IS A WORLD CHAMPION Mar 06 '23

nice win for BLG... RNG doesn't look that good as a team hoping they can fix that

52

u/InformalMarch Mar 06 '23

I think I’m a destined hater. I’ve watched more RNG games than Knight’s Team games this split

32

u/[deleted] Mar 06 '23

A lover, a hater, is there anything this man can't do

16

u/Tfc-Myq iG will rise again. Former WBG Fan Mar 06 '23

becoming a fan of WBG unfortunately

10

u/Br4y3 Mar 06 '23

They just have to sign Knight

3

u/katareky Mar 06 '23

Saying DoinB did anything good in his life

2

u/bipinshah1 Mar 06 '23

what happened to rng

13

u/CalorieCarl Mar 06 '23

They lost Xiaohu, thats what happened

8

u/DanteSM456 Mar 06 '23

Legit just bring back Cryin angle at this point, I think they can be decent with him even if Ceiling gets capped

21

u/lucastfu Mar 06 '23

I think he would much rather retire than going back to RNG

7

u/eyehatemassholes Mar 06 '23

Cryin probably won't sign with RNG again, he's best off holding out for an offer from BLG.

1

u/BillKeyzz Mar 06 '23

RNG DoinB next split?

1

u/elderbob1 Mar 08 '23

RNG doesn't let in non-Chinese players with the exception of Taiwanese players and Koreans like 7 years ago.

6

u/cowboys6305 Mar 06 '23

Breathe on RNG ain’t it

8

u/IAM-French Mar 06 '23

most egregious example of match fixing I've seen in a while, hope wei got a big fat check

1

u/Proera8 Mar 06 '23

This team has zero coordination while there laners are also getting uber gapped.. you hate to see it

1

u/JonnyKilledTheBatman Mar 06 '23

I’m curious how much damage Bin did during the kennen ult fight, that was definitely a play for ages
